Spectacular spot, Kuratau is lucky to have this gem of a cafe!

A simple menu, with yummy fresh food! The pizzas are cooked as you watch in the feature pizza oven! Open only during school holidays this place is just what you need after a day at the lake - fantastic wine and a place to relax with friends and family.

Lovely location, the pizzas were nice, found the staff not very welcoming or friendly. Just ok.... obviously not trained in giving great customer service! No where else close to eat so may be why...

Wood fired pizzas were great. Rose was even better. Loved the spot will be back for sure. Maybe more variety on the food side would set this place in a direction that would benefit greatly. Thanks team

When we are in Kuratau, one of the daily treats is to go to Floating Rock Cafe. The pizzas are fantastic and the coffees and wines are always terrific. A high point is the excellent staff who are always cheerful and ready to help. There are few things better than sitting with good food, good friends, and gazing out at... More

We have been there many times over the years and are always impressed. The wine, pizzas and coffee are excellent, there is great scenery of the vineyard and over the river, and they have exceptionally welcoming staff. We look forward to visiting every summer. Highly recommend!

We visit often because we enjoy the pizzas and their rose. Unfortunately, this summer our impression has somewhat changed given the sullen attitude of young wait stuff who were unhelpful, unfriendly and generally uninterested.

Small cafe on boutique vineyard, another hidden gem in this region. We had the Rose which was very pleasant. They also offer small plates hot food, yummy cakes, other wines and coffee. Indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the vineyard and rural properties.

Family outing including grandchildren for lunch on Easter Saturday. Lovely bottle of pinois gris, fish bites, wedges, and prawns with sauces. Fish bites especially yummy. Bit windy outside but a great spot and great outlook. Well worth a visit.

The very best cafe in the area - great coffee, delicious pizza, attentive staff in beautiful surrounds. Wine is fabulous and if you plan enough in advance, get there early and ask about kayak rental - after a paddle on the river and lake, enjoy a wine and pizza after. Plan even EARLIER in advance, and rent one of the... More
