We had a nice supper at the Cressfield Hotel - a very good welcome and excellent service. Good meal too - not "fine dining" but perfectly edible and delicious. The young lad who welcomed us, ran the bar and served us at our table deserves a special commendation as he made us feel very welcome.

We stayed here the night before our wedding. We were greeted by Iain, who was very helpful and accommodating. He couldn't do enough for us. The food was really good and the staff were second to none. Nigel even brought breakfast up to myself and my bridesmaid on the morning of the wedding so we had more time to get... More

We were up in Scotland, staying with friends and it was our Wedding Anniversary, so we went out for a special meal. The Cressfield is a lovely old building - full of character - the restaurant was like a large stately sittingroom with a lovely large fireplacetable and local pictures on the wall - tables neatly laid - and a... I stayed here with a party of 8 other fishermen for 2 nights. The accommodation food And service were all excellent. Hotel is well maintained and spotlessly clean and the food at dinner and breakfast really good. Fantastic value for money. Will be back next year.

We found this hotel by pure chance. A fantastic experience. We booked for two nights but stayed for the week. Attentive staff, wonderful food (wide choice of menu) Cleanliness at A Star as far as we are concerned, no dusty corners and clean shower and toilet units. The owner, Nigel, oversees everything efficiently and calmly. I could go on but... More

Stayed on Friday 13th with my 3 dogs. Had room 11 which was ground floor and has it's own outside door so I could get the dogs in and out easily. Very clean and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were really good and good value. Check out efficient and very pleasant. Would definitely return
