Right on the beach!

This place is excellent! Right on the beach at Longsands and only a couple of minutes from the centre of town. It was busy in February so I can't imagine what it will be like in summer! We quickly found a table and the drinks were very reasonably priced. I would recommend!

I was at Crusoe's recently for a fund-raising night with about 50 friends. It was a brilliant evening all round, with great food just right for the occasion and excellent service by the young staff. Not to mention the fireworks. I will certainly be back with my wife, my daughter and her four children. Thank you Crusoe's.

My wife and I visited Crusoes as part of a group. It was the first time we had visited and we will now ensure we will visit again. We were warmly welcomed on entering and can only describe the service by Peter (the owner) and his staff as being excellent. The food was delicious and was of a very high... More

Crusoes is in a lovely location as practically on the beach so nice and cosy in winter and convenient in summer to sit outside. We had to wait along time in a queue to be served as it was packed. The tables are all different sizes with a mixture of chairs so very oldy worldy,we did find a table but took ages... This cafe is very happily situated right on the beach. Food and service is very average. Often very busy and we have found ourselves sharing a large table with another group.

We've just enjoyed a welcome stop at this brilliant cafe on Longsands beach while walking a 9 mile stretch of the coast from Blyth to Tynemouth. The coffees and muffins were great as always with the added bonus of mild weather so we could enjoy sitting outside on the terrace overlooking the beach

Lovely cafe with great coffee, yummy cakes and excellent views. The only thing that keeps this from being excellent are the women's toilets. The place gets so busy they need more than one and the hand-dryer is definitely in need of replacing!

Once youve tried crusoes you will become a regular. Set on the beach it makes a for a fabulous experience. Good or bad weather the view is picturesque. The food is gorgeous, hands down the best fish and chips! The menu is quite extensive, and all the food is fresh and tasty. I must make special mention to the devine... More

Wanted to visit for many years. Alas very disappointed by the food. Quality poor, uninspiring. Just not worth the money. The Muffins looked amazing however, but pricey. Next time will just have a cuppa and cake. However the view is outstanding and location perfect.

I love crusoes and visit whenever possible. The fish and chips are amazing and served nice with a salad (in a shell) nice bread like ciabatta and butter, the muffins are huge and tasty. Its usually bustling and fast paced but i also like to catch it when its quiet as it feels abit more relaxing. I love the decor... More
