Steaming hot cups of coffee right on the beach

Whether it be rain or shine go grab a coffee and a huge scone or muffin at Crusoe's. Right on the beach at Tynemouth. Very busy cafe offering a huge selection of scones, muffins, bacon sandwiches etc.,

Crusoe's sits in a lovely spot right on a beautiful beach. The location really is perfect. But other than that there's not much to recommend. Fish and chips were over-priced and pretty mediocre. Soggy batter. Yuk! And service came with a scowl rather than a smile. Might return for a beverage to sit & watch the world go by but... More

Went to crusoe's on bank holiday monday. The place was packed. It's a lovely little spot right on the beach with brilliant views of the whole beach. The food was lovely. Chips were slightly hard for my liking but still nice. Good value for money and a nice little place to eat. I would have given it 5 stars but... More

Love this place, and visit all year round when in the area. It is literally on the beach. In the winter they have a roaring fire indoors to warm you after a walk on the beach. The drinks are lovely, as is the food, but you get more than enough for one person, and we now share a sandwich!

food very average, huge cakes and bland baked potatoes, but views are totally fantastic, couldn't wish for a better spot.

After a bracing walk enjoying the fantastic north east coast (and showing it all off to visitors) Crusoes is a great place to stop for coffee and cakes. It is right on the beach, plenty to see including surfers, big boats, people with dogs – all the usual Sunday morning entertainment. Lovely choice of coffees and cakes, I really like... More

Spent a fab morning at the Longsands beach, made even better by discovering this great cafe. Blends in nicely with scenary, lovely panoramic views of the expansive beach, and has a great vibe about it. Chocolate muffins, good coffee, and a relaxed atmosphere topped it off nicely. One last thing the staff were smiley, attentive, and very helpful. 😀

I really wish I could like this place. It could be a perfect place to relax, eat or drink and enjoy the beach in all weathers. However the poor service, miserable and unhelpful staff, and disgusting cold food choices are a real shame. I've been A few times and each time hoped the last time was a one off. The... More

Crusoes is right at the end of longsands and has panoramic views of the beach. The food is cooked beautifully but is a little pricy. The fish & chips from the restaurant was amazing. It is a popular spot and has both inside and outside dining so there is plenty of space but it does get very busy. Well worth... More

The food is okay. The customer service was terrible! There was 5 staff at the counter, nobody serving, yet myself and another customer waiting at the counter. When my partner paid for food on card, I had to press the machine button and tear off the receipts before the transition expired- as there was nobody watching/ waiting at the machine... More
