We booked this local restaurant to celebrate SJ's birthday. The last time I was there was some 6 years ago. Our overall experience was very good and the food, three of us had the Fillet Steak was cooked exactly to our individual requirements. Our guests had the Lamb and Chicken and this too was cooked and tasted very good. The... More

Met here for Tapas on a Saturday night and whilst the food was well served there seemed to be a lot of potatoes in the choice of dishes. After a long day of travelling it was not enough for my appetite and we should really have tried for dinner in the restaurant. Staff were frendly

Came here on Saturday evening, 13th September. Starters and mains with a £22 bottle of red for £77 would have been good value. Menu had the potential of being very good. Starters were good. Main courses not good. Confit duck seemed to be just a piece of poorly roasted duck leg, everything on this plate tasted un-seasoned. Grilled cod dish... More

Booked a table here for husband's birthday and pre-ordered tapas dishes. The staff were very helpful and food was delicious. My 2 children also loved their food and were made to feel very welcome. Great value for money and am looking forward to going back

I ate in the Goose Fat with friends on Saturday Evening. As usual the food was nothing short of absolutley first class! We were seated at our table straight away (as we were spot on time), the waitress was very friendly and most helpful with the menu, advising the soup of the day and passing out the specials menu. Our... More

We've been coming here for years and it just gets better. Last night was one of the best. The rib-eye steak was gorgeous and cooked perfectly as I asked, and it should be, as they use the same butcher as the Queen! Scallops with bacon and cauliflower purée was simply delightful and again cooked to perfection. They have new bar... More

Our visit here was on a special tapas evening, so perhaps a slightly different experience to a 'normal' night out at a restaurant. We really enjoyed the cute bar area with its wooden floors and candles, and the airy restaurant space. The food was good quality and I got a proper glass for my red wine. Spotlessly clean and with... Had a very pleasant evening at the Goosefat & Garlic on Friday night. The food and service were very good and the waitresses are efficient without being over obtrusive. We have eaten here a few times and are never disappointed so we often recommend the restaurant to friends. Could have done without the man on a nearby table who complained... More
