Was here last week and had a starter of foie gras, followed by a main of capuns. The former was at best five cm long and gone in three small mouthfuls. The capuns could come as a starter or a main, so I asked if they had got the order wrong when they turned up with three packages, each smaller... More

This is a typical Swiss village restaurant with food typical of the region. Its quaint and cozy and the food is good. The prices are up there but this is not unusual wherever one chooses to eat in the area. Service is friendly and I would certainly recommend Dorta for a chance to try good traditional Swiss cuisine which has... More

This was a really fabulous place to eat - we loved it!!! We ate all over the little towns of the Engadine area of Switzerland and this was one of our all time favorites. It is not in the old part of town - down under the railway so make sure you find it! It is gorgeously decorated inside -... More

We arrived at 17h (5pm) after enjoying the spa in Samedan and were hungry. It was really nice to be able to eat something warm at that time of day (in Switzerland!). We had a very good Gerschtesuppe (Graubündner specialty) and a so so pumpkin soup (not very tasty) The warm lentil, fresh cheese and fresh spinach soup was good... More

We had a wonderful evening at Dorta with some Swiss friends - they suggested the set menu as they wanted to try the specialities themselves. The 3 courses were delicious and the recommended wines nicely complimented the 2 savory courses. The main course is actually small servings of 4 different dishes. The dessert was based on a very local cherry... More

I had several dinners at Dorta over the years. I used to go there more for the beauty of the place than food.at the time, service was not kind at all. A new owner seems to have addressed all previous issues and I had a wonderful time yesterday night. Courteous service and a good meal. The Stinco with polent

The scenery is perfect, an old barn. But since two years, the quality of food and service dropped, but the prices did not. Warned by previous experiences we asked the food not to be served too fast, but within five minutes after ordering the dishes were served. The deer and beef were not bad, but served without any fantasy right... More

This is my favorite place in Ober-engadin. The charm of that old stable is everything you look for in the mountains of Switzerland. They have several Rooms, some are more private (if you are a bigger group) but all are nice. I like sitting upstairs in the main room. On top comes a great service with the owners always being... Traditional Swiss Cuisine in Zouz in an old converted Farmhouse situated by a river with such quaint style. The food is delicious and we were greeted by Swiss Longhorn Players and I felt as if I should be yodelling! The fondue was a nice touch and the atmosphere was warm and inviting! I would recommend the trip outside St. Mortiz... More
