Very authentic and local food in a typical Engadin wooden house (must have been a hutch back then). There are different rooms in the restaurant, we stayed in the largest one, which could be very noisy in the peak season. Nice staff and a rich menu.

Now i know how 'Capuns' and 'Pizokels' taste. Combined with deer ragout and red cabbage, which had a lightly taste of wild berry jam. Accompanying excellent white and red wine from this canton (Graubünden).

We went for a Sunday night dinner during our winter break. Having been there previously we knew about the nice location and the good food. But we were really disappointed by the lack of attention of the service staff. As it was Sunday the Restaurant was not overly busy - so no excuses. We were attended by 5 different waitresses... More

You want to eat local. This is the right restaurant. Nice typical ambiance to eat Grisons Specialities. Try the "Maluns" which are the crispy fried grated potatoes with cheese, and the "Capuns" which are cabbage rolls topped with cheese . Of course don't forget to reserve in advance.

The Dorta is an old house, with all kinds of antique objects scattered around the building. Make sure you take a look upstairs!! The cuisine was authentic Engadine. Everything looks fresh and inviting. Try their ham, the Bündner Gerstensuppe, and any and all meat dishes.

Love the entrèe, the self service bread and butter, the hay soup and an amazing steack tartare. The service is warm and perfect, the ambience is simply fabulous. An old barn, lovley.

I really meant to give this restaurant a good review but unfortunately my experience last week was not good. The place is really cute as it is an old barn. Their bread and butter that you can also buy is really good, but their food is not convincing. A filet at 100CHF just because it is organic is a bit... More

The English speaking owner was very accommodating giving us a tour and history of the old farmhouse. The food was authentic especially the hay soup. The worst part was the bill. Very expensive!!! Worth it if you want to splurge.

No wonder locals and visitors alike come from even the famous resort places in the area to sample this very authentic local Grissons fare restaurant. Set in a converted 500 year old farmhouse / barn, the rustic ambience has a charm of its own. The delicious food includes all the specialties, such as barley soup (highly recommended), cured meat, and... More
