This week we went to this restaurant tree times and tried all the tapas dishes, it was great every one of them. The service was very good and it was so nice to sit on the plaza experience so very good food and wine.

Got to agree with the last review partially in that our waiter was rubbish (poor appreciation of the cosmopolitan clients that were sitting on the terrace and nearly all talking English with which he struggled) BUT the Food is OUT OF THIS WORLD! The honeyed fried aubergines and plate of 6 stuffed mushrooms topped off with 4 wonderful glasses of... More

This was our second visit, the first last year and it was very good indeed. This time not good at all, firstly the waiter was very dull, and offered no welcome , or help with the menus. We had a fish starter, followed by a meat main, the cutlery was not changed in-between courses, we had to ask for it... More

Welcoming with nice music, and food cooked to order. Very generous portions, tasty and authentic with a twist. One late night tapas menu, and one dinner - both good.

We discovered this restaurant when it was sited in Nerja and were disappointed to learn it was closing, only to discover it was only moving to Torrox Pueblo, just up the road. We make a point of going there every time we're in the area - in fact we went there twice during our week-long holiday. We would have gone... More

Have been there quite a few times, and I've never been disappointed. Good food and a friendly atmosphere, and the owners and staff are always very helpful. Thanks ! :-) Arnt Erik Halstensen

The food in here was average although we only had tapas. Have had tapas in lots of places over the years which I have enjoyed much more than this. Cannot speak about any other food.

One of only two places open in 'The Square' on a quiet, damp Saturday afternoon. Stopped for a quick drink after looking around Torrox and was pleasantly surprised to find that the price of 2 beers included a tapas [paella]. Service was fine, the ambiance pleasant and we will call again when revisiting Torrox in the next 10 days.

Had read the reviews here so decided to try El Desvan, despite noticing that it is one of the less frequented restaurants on the Square in Torrox Pueblo. I now know why!! The menu is confused.... Tapas run of the mill... Other dishes overpriced. My son ordered a Margherita Pizza which arrived only partly cooked with raw cheese on the... More

We stayed in Torrox for one night. The hotel were not cooking that evening recommended this restaurant. We had no reservation and despite the place being full of both locals and tourists they found us a table very quickly. We had a delicious salad to share and the Rabo de Torro to follow which was simply divine. My only criticism... More
