Lovely traditional restaurant

The quality of food was very good, service was fast, the atmosphere was relaxing. A bit expensive if you like to drink good wine...

Outstanding cuisine and delightful service in quaint alpine setting. Truly fantastic and imaginatively presented dishes, we had a simply delicious loin of deer with a great local red wine, a recommendation of the charming young female sommelier. Worth staying in cavalese just to go to El Molin.

This may look like an unlikely area to have excellent pizza, but in fact they take very good care of their ingredients and their dough preparation (70 hours of rising...). Their 'caserecce' range is a little more expensive than average but the quality is very high indeed, with top ingredients: 'piennolo' tomatoes, local ricotta, and other cheeses, Cantabrico anchovies. The... More

Long gone are the days when you could not eat a decent pizza north of Rome: and the pizza at Excelsior is really and truly excellent. I am not sure whether the 70 hours of leavening are all necessary and not at all gimmicky, the slow leavened pizza is divine, with superb quality toppings like piennolo tomatoes, smoked ricotta and... Cosy venue, nice ambience and with waitresses who could speak English. We had steak Tartar which was the reason we returned to this little place once or twice... You can have most of the dishes as mains or as tapas. Also enjoyed a pasta with anchovies and a smoked butter sauce ... also very good. The 'char' which is a... More

This will be a short review. El Molin is better experienced than described. Our dinner witnessed an unforgettable interpretation of the local "terroir", in which sometimes surprising local flavors are blended to re-create what one would breathe during a walk in the magic woods of Val di Fiemme. What struck us was that unlike many acclaimed gourmet restaurants, which often... More

We tried both the pizzeria and the fine dining restaurant. The pizzeria is excellent. We tried only the special (and slightly more expensive) 'casereccia' pizza in which the dough is left to develop for a very long time, and the results are evident: the dough is spectacular, a pleasure to chew even by itself. The ingredients on top are also... More

we have been in his restaurant famous Molin ... unfortunately among the problems of electricity you can expect to stay in the dark, I saw a charge of a restaurant who knows English very unreadable which unfortunately does not know when to decant a wine, which spilled wine on a restaurant wine ... seem like something that does not really...
