If you manage to bear with the queue that always lines in front of this restaurant, then your wait will be made worth while. Whenever I come to san vito, I always pay a visit to this "piece of sicily" restaurant. Try the fish cous cous. Enjoy!

We were really disappointed by Gna Sara. The food was mediocre (my family ordered the raw fish plate, pasta with sardines and fennel, risotto, and pizza) and they did not pay much attention to detail. For example, their salad was simply iceberg lettuce. The service was friendly and attentive, but couldn't make up for the disappointing food. We were there... More

Dear stranger , irreverent host of our beloved land of Sicily . As a foreigner , again of our traditional cuisine , I do not believe her, much less his family , were you able to understand the strong flavors of our traditional cuisine such as pasta with sardines and wild fennel , fish , and vegetable of which You... Extremely popular place, queues every night. High quality food, so I guess well deserved. But have they become too popular for their own good? As I was the only one drinking wine, a tried to order just a glass - which is on the menu for 3,50, but the waiter refused, saying they only sold half bottles and arguing that... More

Basic restaurant in San Vito. Each night we saw a huge crowd gathering to wait for tables. There are no reservations but you show up, give your name, and you have to be there when they call you for a table. The wait can be an hour or more. Frankly, we didn't really undertand all the fuss. Out meals were... More

Get here before 7.30 or you will wait 30 mins - hour for a table always a good sing and we were not disappointed. We had the seafood risotto, fillet steak in marsala sauce, pizza and pasta dishes all very well cooked and presented. Next time we are back in S.Vito Gna sara will be on the to do list.

When visiting any part of Italy, we always look forward to the food and wine, and we were certainly not disappointed! The hotel staff recommended Gna Sara, and the food was delicious! We ordered a local wine, which was a red, full bodied semi-dry wine, and many different dishes to share. The service was outstanding and the food was amazing!... More

4th night in SV and up until GNA Sara the eating experience had been distinctly average. When visiting GNA Sara both the food and service were extremely good. Always busy with people queueing outside, so if you don't want to wait to eat arrive before 19:30.

We wondered why there was a crowd outside this place. They don't take bokings, you can ask for a number and if you are around when it's called you get a table. Very fair. WE thought we'd give it a go and went for a pre dinner drink and managed to return at just the right time. And how lucky... More
