A fellow hotel guest from Milan told us about Dogana Vegia, or we'd never have discovered it. It's a good 35 minute walk up the valley from the village centre (not the 20 mins suggested by other reviewers) and we had to call them twice to be talked in! But we were so glad we'd made the effort. It's a... More

Great food, friendly people very bizarre ambiance with fun collection of strange objects on the walls and hanging from the ceiling. Not cheap but we go back each year.

We've eaten at Dogana Vegia several times, most recently in December 2012. The best way to experience this restaurant is to ask them to bring you the food they have prepared. Course after course comes out to the table, each small but tasty, and after a while you realize they've brought out 6 or 8 courses. I've never been able... More

We ate lunch here on a glorious sunny day in August after a short hike from the town center. Sitting outside, we enjoyed the great food and the spectacular views with a cool breeze blowing just right. The local dish "pizzocheri" was excellent and so were the platter of cold cuts and assorted cheeses. You can't beat this place!
