Fiumicino strikes again

This place is right on the main street on the north side of the river from the ocean to Roma, and you do need reservations. The food and wait staff were top-notch, and we saw many visitors and locals being turned away due to lack of tables the night we were there. We met some fun people, too, and... read more

Staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating being that the menu was only in Italian...said not to worry he would take care of us...and he did...fabulous local grilled fish and pasta with several appetizers on the house served prior....a must try if in the area... OK - so who would think that a restaurant in the little town of Fiumicino, near the airport would have such an incredible restaurant? What a glorious surprise this restaurant was and thankfully we made a reservation upon arriving in town because it was booked solid by dinner time! We had some of the most delicious interesting, beautifully presented food... More

Spent our last night in Rome in Fiumicino so as to take an early morning flight the next day. This was our second choice for a local restaurant, the first being fully booked - and what a wonderful surprise. Young, attentive and charming waiters helped us through the diverse and delicious seafood menu accompanied by an extensive wine menu: a... More

We went to this restaurant mainly because we were tired of walking and it was close to our hotel but we sure hit the jackpot when we got there! It is right on the water and gave us a great view of the sunset. I ordered the lemon shrimp pasta and it was absolutely delicious! I would fly all the... More

We left a tip here with our bill as the meal and service were just so good. This is also easy walking distance from the Hotel Tiber which I recommend. We had one of the best fish meals, with lots of extra, inventive courses thrown in gratis, at l’Osteria dell Orologio---outstanding fried fish dinner and great filled pastas. This place... More

I've been twice, it really worth. Located in Fiumicino (6km far from the international airport), not very big, service is excellent as the food and wine. Do not miss the starters (either hot or cold at your choice) they can be surprising thanks to an interesting combination of ingredients, the tagliolini al limone are delicious! it worth to book since... We entered this little restaurant on a miserable day but were certainly cheered by no less than four extra surprise dishes in addition to what we ordered from the menu (not counting the ubiquitous bread basket). All were absolutely delicious. The bread was house made and fresh and of the dishes that we ordered, the fish soup was a stand... More
