Big, bright place with good food.

Open at lunch. I had fried calimari which was small bits but fresh and being right across the street from the water that was expected. Friend had Gorgonzola steak which came well done but, when noted waitress immediately replaced it with medium rare version. Platters of seafood that past during... read more

We stayed in Fiumicino for one day whilst finishing our holiday in Italy. It was Sunday 2013 when me and my husband looking for somewhere to eat and came across this restaurant. With broken Italian we manage to get a table what was appeared was family gathering as long as we payed by card. We had a table it was... More

Service was superb; food was outstanding; price was quite reasonable. I would definitely eat here again.

My wife had a delicious lobster with angel hair pasta. I asked for the grilled fish but ended up with a delicious Gorgonzola steak. Even though I really wanted the fish, I thought the steak looked wonderful and I wasn't disappointed. I should have bought the Rosetta Stone Italian beginners edition.

Very nicely decorated, large traditional menu - both land and sea. Homemade desserts. Server was a bit unfriendly, but knew her job. I had the steak with Gorgonzola sauce, ordered medium rare and served well done. After returning it I was given a steak perfectly prepared. Located on the canal - good parking and walking score.

My wife and I finished off our time in Italy in Fiumicino, a quant fishing village right next to the airport. We were a bit stumped as to where to go for dinner, given all the mixed reviews on TA for this town. We decided on this restaurant as it was quite close to the hotel, and we were very... More

In addition to the authentic Italian food and delightful courtyard dining what made our evening exceptional at Capogrossi was the staff! They offered a tasting of the wine we were considering, realised I was not enjoying my first menu choice so suggested, and bought me another meal, and kindly translated the dosage on a cold-remedy we had just purchased from... Having endured poor service and average food in several Italian cities over the last 2 weeks, CapoGrossi was a very welcome change on the evening of Tuesday 7 October 2014. The food was great, the service friendly and efficient and the overall experience represented excellent value for money. Highly recommended!

The quality of food, esp. seafood was great. The Ravioli dish was also delicious. The service was fair, it could be better! If you want to get the best service, you need to have someone who speaks Italian with you... One of the waitresses understands no English, the others are just fine.

We were looking for a true Italian restaurant and we did ! The food, the hospitality and service was wonderful. As the restaurant is on the harbour front my wife and I had fish which was excellent...served with well presented vegetables. The starter of parma ham and melon was one of the best we had ever had...and the dessert "yum,... More
