Excellent first night

Arrived in Fiumicino and walked along the front to find something to eat. This place stands out. Well kept and positioned. The staff are excellent and very attentive. We had an outside table which is very intimate and not right on the road like many others. I started with seafood salad which... read more

Our young girls loved their first taste of genuine Italian food. The setting was great, quiet and homely with the fishing harbour close by. The waitress was excellent and her recommendations were spot on, our pastas where delicious but we were to tired for their great deserts.

We had a great dinner here -- good carpaccio of pesce spade and spigola (sea bass), the former being better, and then absolutely wonderful black fettuccini al nero with cuttlefish. It would be worth returning to Fiumicino just to repeat that dinner!

The fish was delicious, the pasta was delicious, but the desserts were outstanding! Make sure to save room for them! Home-made tarts, tiramisu, and profiteroles.. Yumm, Yumm! The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated, the staff was attentive and funny (spoke English too)... A little more expensive, but really wanted a nice way to end our trip!

Mixed cheese plate, ravioli, and mussels oh my! The server was so attentive and gracious. I had to come back the next day and it was just as good the second time!

On our last night in Italy (on this trip, I mean...) we entertained our seafood sentiments in this place located across the road from fishing boats tied to the pier. This place is all about straightforward mostly freshly caught seafood. Don't expect sophisticated presentations; if it's pure joys of savouring seafood at its best, dive right in. The prices are... Had a wonderful dinner here on our last night in Italy. ( superb seafood antipasto!). The service was very friendly and the seafood excellent for a reasonable price. The restaurant itself was tastefully decorated, very clean and exuded a welcoming atmosphere. Our waitress spoke excellent english and was helpful reccommending some menu selections. Would highly recommend.
