Delicious traditional food with warm attentive staff. Our order was mixed up due to fussy requests from our kids but the staff corrected the mistakes immediately and with a smile. Couldn't recommend more. Came away stuffed due to the large portions. Even though it's extremely difficult to do, try and save room for the amazing deserts. Castelnaudary is not the... More

Very traditional French restaurant tucked away in a small street. It actually was one of the recommendations from the Tourist Information Office (thank you !). Small menu but everything was brilliantly fresh and cooked very well indeed. It was our last meal before heading to the airport and really was a great way to end the holiday. Recommend the cassoulet... More

We ate here on the recommendation of a local who pointed it out to us. It is a very small resturant near the centre of town specialising in the local dish cassoulet of which there were a number of variations on the menu. We tried the cassoulet with duck and pork and the cassoulet with only pork, both were extremely... More

Small traditional bistro run by the Patronne, the dishes were huge. I couldn't finish it but it was delicious. I could get the duck of the bone with a spoon. They kindly made me a doggy bag with strict instructions on how to keep it good until I got home. Go hungry- really hungry!

On a cold and windy sunday evening we found this little restaurant. We were asked if we had made a reservation which we hadnt but luckily there was a table free, the last one and that was at 7.10 so I recommend booking as the next half hour at least 6 parties of people were turned away!! Only about 10... More

We arrived early evening and there were just a handful of other diners, however an hour later the place was full. We had the house speciality Cassoulet and it was lovely. The pork just melted in your mouth and the sausage was thick and meaty. The flavour of the dish was just right. We had desert and a bottle of... More

This quiet local restaurant was full of surprises. Each dish was cooked to perfection, freshly prepared to order, with interesting, innovative, delicious traditional french food. The meat and fish dishes were creative, tasty, and original. The deserts were fabulous, and the starters light and refined. The cave like ambience was surprisingly bright and the decor and background french music was... More

Since our first choice is no longer in business, we had this recommendation for Cassoulet. The dish was dry and had a burnt taste, and appeared to be reheated. The room is small and patrons sit elbow to elbow. We weren't fortunate to get the guy with the smile, rather the older lady who would rather be someplace else. We... More

Had lunch there...was crowded but service was still very good...one guy with a smile waiting on 14 tables....wow. Speaks a bit of English too. Menu is OK...just a bit limited. But adequate. Salad Laurangis is big enough for a meal..almost. Had the Basque chicken and obviously not their speciality...but was OK. Some other plates around me looked better. Overall a... More
