Small traditional bistro run by the Patronne, the dishes were huge. I couldn't finish it but it was delicious. I could get the duck of the bone with a spoon. They kindly made me a doggy bag with strict instructions on how to keep it good until I got home. Go hungry- really hungry!

On a cold and windy sunday evening we found this little restaurant. We were asked if we had made a reservation which we hadnt but luckily there was a table free, the last one and that was at 7.10 so I recommend booking as the next half hour at least 6 parties of people were turned away!! Only about 10... More

We arrived early evening and there were just a handful of other diners, however an hour later the place was full. We had the house speciality Cassoulet and it was lovely. The pork just melted in your mouth and the sausage was thick and meaty. The flavour of the dish was just right. We had desert and a bottle of... More

This quiet local restaurant was full of surprises. Each dish was cooked to perfection, freshly prepared to order, with interesting, innovative, delicious traditional french food. The meat and fish dishes were creative, tasty, and original. The deserts were fabulous, and the starters light and refined. The cave like ambience was surprisingly bright and the decor and background french music was... More

Since our first choice is no longer in business, we had this recommendation for Cassoulet. The dish was dry and had a burnt taste, and appeared to be reheated. The room is small and patrons sit elbow to elbow. We weren't fortunate to get the guy with the smile, rather the older lady who would rather be someplace else. We... More

Had lunch there...was crowded but service was still very good...one guy with a smile waiting on 14 tables....wow. Speaks a bit of English too. Menu is OK...just a bit limited. But adequate. Salad Laurangis is big enough for a meal..almost. Had the Basque chicken and obviously not their speciality...but was OK. Some other plates around me looked better. Overall a... More

From the outside the restaurant doesn't look too appealing, however, inside it is very clean and welcoming. We both enjoyed a really delicious and juicy steak cooked just to our liking. The service was excellent too and being such great value this place deserves a rating.

This place doesn't look much, and the decor is very old-fashioned and tired. However, if you want cassoulet it's a great place to be. There is a free car park right opposite. Once you get inside, the place is busy and tables are cramped, but staff are friendly and efficient. The menus prices are very reasonable and the portions are... More

After reading the reviews here we decided to visit Le Petit Gazouillis specifically to eat Cassoulet. We went in at lunchtime and booked for the (Tuesday) evening. You really do have to book. We skipped the starter and had a big bowl of cassoulet each and it was far too much but was by far the best cassoulet I've ever... More
