Of the many options in Playa Guiones, my favorite is Kaya Sol, and so you should note that opinion, which could make my review biased. In 2011, during my first trip to Guiones, Kaya Sol was called Rising Sun, and it was fantastic. When I returned in 2012, Kaya Sol had taken the spot, but the menu was the same,... More

The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is casual. Portions are generally on the large size. There are little inconsistencies; probably the result of remote location of Guiones... (Take what is available, when the distributer truck arrives.) A certain type of fries one night, different the next. I love the fish taco plate, as it totally satisfies, and generally provides... Well prepared dishes.... I would recommend this as a nice place for lunch or dinner. Beef sauté with vegetables was served on a heated cooking plate and sizzled on the table.

After a long day of travel we ended up here on a recommendation from someone at our hotel. The service was fast and friendly, the margaritas fantastic, and the fish fresh, tasty, and perfectly cooked.

The restaurant next to the pool was nice and clean. Casado was yummy. Though, they could have cooked beans softer in my opinion.. Would come back again.

We ate here on Tuesday (music) night and despite the fact that none of us ate alcohol or had desert, were hit with a bill of $90 US for 3 people. Not worth it.

Staff was very friendly. Food portions were very generous for the price and tasty. Compared to other restaurants in the area this is the place to eat. Very highly recommended, after eating at many other places we continued to come back here after we discovered it. Other places are over priced, not that good, and leave you desiring more, not... We all enjoyed our typical Tico food! Nice open air restaurant with plenty of overhead fans. We sampled the casado plates and the curry. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal.

Kaya Sol was just what we were looking for! The atmosphere was pleasant, not overly fancy, but nice. The menu was long and varied. The portions were enormous and the food was delicious. Prices were reasonable. The howler monkey in the tree just outside the restaurant just added to the jungle experience.

We ate at KayaSol 3 times while in Nosara - our last day there we ate there twice (lunch and dinner). The food was fresh, tasty, and unique, and the prices fair. They usually have fun surf videos playing on the TV above the bar.
