Delightful Italian food

Just got back from Nosara, ate at Dolce Vita last Friday, the food was excellent, service impeccable, portions are very large, great value for the money. Had tim to chat and laugh with Roberto. My kids (12 & 7) wanted to go back again the follwoing evening. If you are using a rental car GPS, it... read more

Have eaten here several times with buds on surf trips, recently went with our wives and had just a wonderful meal! Roberto is one of the best host/owners you will ever meet, passionate, entertaining, one would think you were actually in Tuscany! Everything, apps, mains, at our table of 8 was excellent, including the wines of which we drank much!... More

So good! Roberto was very entertaining and the food was amazing. He had gluten free pasta and was happy to also accommodate a vegetarian. My husband and I shared a burrata appetizer and a ravioli special. Everything was fresh and clearly homemade. We all shared desserts as well - the mousse was to die for. He brought a treat of... We went here on our second night in town. Nosara didn't have a great food scene but this is one of the better restaurants in the area. The only downsides are the cost, distance to town and the washrooms. I have traveled to Latin America several times but if you haven't maybe use your washrooms at hotel first.

We had our rehearsal dinner here and it was amazing. Fresh, handmade pasta as good as any trattoria in Milan. The best Italian restaurant in Costa Rica.

We really enjoyed our meal. Fairly large portions, we split a main and an appy. Very pricy, comparible to back home in U.S. or Canada.. Brownie dessert would have been better had the brownie been homemade or fresh, maybe heated a little...

Dolce vita is one of the few remaining gems in Nosara. Other restaurants have gotten expensive without the care, quality or ambience that Roberto (the owner) takes such pride in. Each year we go to Nosara, we make sure to dine at dolce vita at least once. We love bringing friends there, especially if it's their first time. The food... More

After a not so wonderful camping experience nearby, Dolce Vita was a welcomed relief to roughing it. The owner, Roberto, was so friendly and accommodating. The service was good, and the food was amazing (I was quite surprised to find Italian in the Costa Rica jungle). Great atmosphere and overall one of the best restaurant experiences on my 8 day... We had heard about la Dolce Vita from a friend, so we called from the States for a Christmas Eve reservation. But when the 8 of us arrived, Roberto, the owner was dismayed and said he could not find our reservation. However, he asked us to wait, and found a "cozy" table for us to squeeze around. What a great... More
