Depending on the extent of your travels and on your expectations, your experience will vary at La Dolce Vita--and most any restaurant in the Nosara area--because a restaurant in this part of the world has access to different ingredients, staff with less training in the expectations of world travelers, and fewer structural amenities in its buildings. But with that perspective... More

We ate here for around $80 USD, so was more than most places but the portions were HUGE, I ordered lobster + spaghetti and got TWO lobsters and a full size helping of spaghetti to boot! It was delicious, and the owner even sent over a special aperitif for us on the house! Definitely would eat here again A++

When in doubt, listen to your host, Roberto, he knows what he's talking about. My first choice is shrimp or lobster fra' diavolo. You will not be disappointed!

The food was spectacular, and the owner charming. The restaurant was beautiful, and easy to find. We were having a great time until ants started coming up through the floor boards, the restaurant is partly outside on a porch, and droppings from my daughters meal fell on the floor at her feet and almost immediately ants started climbing on her... Thats right. An insanely great and authentic Italian meal in Costa Rica. This place hits it out of the park. Everything from the apps, main course and wine selection made it the best meal of our trip.

We had Valentine's Day dinner here and it was a real treat! Not only did they give the women in the party a fresh cut red rose, they also served us all complimentary sangria! Our meals were top notch! We shared the Mariscada (a casserole of pasta and lobster, shrimp, mussels, octopus and fish in a pastry shell). We had... More

Had one of our best meals here. Food was fresh and tasty. Nice outdoor deck with fans and comfortable chairs. Well-run establishment. Thank you!

We've been going to La Dolce Vita for special-occasion meals since we've been coming to Nosara (9 years & a dozen visits now). The restaurant has barely changed at all in that time. It's always excellent, and the owner, Roberto, is an amazingly gracious host. On our most recent trip we (again) enjoyed the simple but tasty spinach salad with... More

Amazing, authentic Italian food in the jungle! Service was warm and courteous, and the owner makes a point of greeting everyone. The pasta is amazing, and the cheese he imports from Italy is incredible. The food here is not just good for Nosara, it's good for anywhere! If you like Italian food, you can't miss this place.
