Am a bit surprised that Dos Lorenas does not rank higher on Trip Advisor... Staying close by, I have now eaten there on a number of occasions and have yet to be served something that did not please. The freshness of thew ingredients is particularly noticeable. Fish in green curry sauce was lip smacking as are their casados and sopas.

I had the chicken casada which was good, average, but my wife had the pork chop casada which was excellent. My chicken was a bit dry compared to the pork chop that was delicious and succulent.

Off the main road near the grocery store Dos Lorenas serves up local tico food. Place is never crowded -- almost empty -- but food is consistently good and cheap! Local favorite

Not a bad place but there are better Tico restaurants in the area.

Take a right at the Guiones Street crossroads and you'll find this large, circular restaurant about 10 minutes down, located behind the grocery store of the same name, and roughly across the street from the "Arco Iris" condo/rental complex. Nothing fancy or pretentious going on here, just nice, fresh simple food Costa Rican style. I really enjoyed the "Steak with... More
