How much fun it was to visit this quaint restaurant whose name I still can't pronounce, in a medieval town in Italy. A restaurant that has a cc camera on its chef and kitchen so all patrons can watch their meals being prepared as they munch on the delicious bread and sip their wine. To top it all the food... More

A really lovely meal, with great pasta starters and the best steak we have had in a very long time: tender, succulent, tasty and well cooked. Complimentary glass of Prosecco a nice touch. Meal for three with water, wine but no sweet or coffee 105€. Only spoilt by noisy, pretentious Americans opposite, but that's no fault of the restaurant!

Just had to try the famous Tuscan T Bones at least once while we were in the region and we certainly chose well ordering it here. Not only was it huge at 1.2kg,but it was of first class quality, and was reasonably priced. Matched with roast potatoes and green salad it fed both of us,and would probably have been enough for... This was by far the best dinner we've had in the region! The service was great, we were welcomed with a glass of prosecco and some delicious bread. We then had the maki sushi (a little unorthodox for Tuscany, we know) which was certainly a different take on the original, but no worse for it! We then had some fresh... More

Was here in July 2014 and what a great surprise. We have eaten at L'Altana many times and love it but tried here. Niccolo and I think his brother Roberto were fantastic. The truffle pasta was unbelievable and cooked perfectly Al Dente. We also sat on the porch. Other review is correct as it is not big and that is... More

Get a table on the balcony and enjoy their focaccia. You'll see fireflies as you dine and watch the susnet. Most amazing food in Italy!!

Our hotel suggested this restaurant and described it as having excellent food with a local clientele and not touristy. They were right on all accounts. Run by two personable brothers and their sister the food was unquestionably the best in Barga. The service was professional and efficient. Based on the quality of the food the price is very fair value.... More

You can watch a live cooking on the screens in the restaurant. As for the food... We have followed the staff suggestions and have chosen a pasta with fresh mushrooms. The meal was way to salty! And the Tuscany white wine was horrible.

As we entered this unassuming restaurant, my husband and I were directed to a cellar below where we were surrounded by a romantic atmosphere and the surprise of watching our food being prepared by the excellent chef's at this gem in Barga! Appetizers, wine, main course and dessert were OUTSTANDING and we left with the desire to stay an extra... More
