wonderful meal, they were happy to accommodate my younger son who only likes pasta pomodoro, though it wasn't on the menu, other pastas and steaks with truffles wonderful!

Another great little restaurant in Barga. Doesn't have a terrace so you have to eat inside but the food is fabulous. They have a TV that shows you the kitchen so you feel like you are watching a food network show but they are cooking your meal. Small restaurant so make a reservation.

Wonderful service & romantic atmosphere. You can actually watch the kitchen on a TV in the dinning room. We had an interesting/very good sushi appetizer. Nice to have something different. Then an excellent pasta. Wrapped up dinner with a wonderful Steak with a lot of fresh truffles on top with a Great bottle of wine our server suggested. We consider... More

We had a great meal here in a wonderful atmosphere. They actually have a tv screen so that you can watch your meal being prepared if you so choose. I would strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone interested in great food and great service! Don't miss the pasta made with local chestnut flour...really special! The owner is very attentive.

My wife and I saved this as our 'special' meal for our honeymoon stay in Barga and it didn't disappoint. The food was absolutely delicious. The special truffle pasta was our shared highlight, but it only just beat my steak for main and the white/dark chocolate fondant which were also fantastic. Being able to watch the food preparation in the... More

We had dinner at Scacciaguai based on the recommendation of our hotel and we loved it. It is only a 15 minute drive from the Marriott Renaissance and it is definitely worth the drive over. Great service, great food and perfect ambiance.

The hotel we were at recommended this restuarant and we are glad they did. I had one of their specials as did the wife and we can't remember what they were called but both were delicious. This is a very small location and the proprietors were just wonderful. Finding the place is like a treasure hunt in that you park... More

A menu that offers a little more excitement than more routine Tuscan fare. Red Pappardelle with Cinta Sausage and Funghi Porcini followed by Pork medallions in Mustard and Caper sauce for me, creamed Fagioli soup and Turkey in Red wine for my wife. Excellent quality house red (Tuscolo) and amazing souffles to complete our meal. 70 euros including coffee and... More

This place was reccomended to us by our hotel. Went in with no expectations and left stuffed and delighted! I compete in the Memphis BBQ circut and have several friends that are chefs, great chefs. However they presented pork medallion with mustard based sauce that is hands down the best pork I have ever tasted. My wife and I had... More
