I hate more than once in this trattoria and can say that the food is of great quality. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the prices are very honest.

We enjoyed the fixed price menu at lunchtime, a starter, main course with a side dish for 10 euros. With wine and coffee, three of us paid 38 euros in total!.The food was cooked well, was very tasty and there was plenty of it.The staff were all very friendly. The trattoria has a lovely calm atmosphere. We sat outside on the balcony in the... The meal was OK, but not as good as other restaurants in Barga. Two of us had the mixed meat grill platter which was greasy However the view was brilliant!

We are not dealing with top cuisine here but with a decent resting place for a travel/working trip. That was my need while passing by Barga in a road trip. And I felt pretty much satisfied about it. A decent though pretty rustic menu, quick served food of a homey quality (and generous quantity). Honest price and last but not... More

Trattoria Riccardo had the best "secondi" we had in all of Italy! This may be because of Barga's location deep in Tuscany where there is more livestock and the meals tend to be heartier. Our primi course was good by American standards but wasn't the best we had in Italy (or even in Barga). My wife had the risotto and... More

Service and quality seem to very much depend on the mood of the owner and her husband in the kitchen. Great views from the balcony and a decent set lunch.

My dad is from Barga and has retired back there. I go over twice a year and am never ever disappointed with this gem of a restaurant. Nothing is too much trouble. If it's not on the menu, just ask Adele and if possible Riccardo will sort it out. Thanks again guys

On our first night in Barga we had dinner at Trattoria da Riccardo. We are not big eaters so we only ordered a so called primo. My husband had risotto with shrimps and I baccala. My husband only picked the shrimps outof the risotto and the baccala was very, very salty. We ended our meal with an espresso. Staff was... More

Visited this restaurant towards the end of our two weeks in Barga at the end of July. We had previously had poor service there but we do like the food so wanted to give it another chance. As usual the menu choices were good with a range of local and seasonal choices such as hare, funghi and so on. We... More

This is a marvellous real italian restaurant no silly square plates or water jugs ...if you want authentic great italian food go here but dont expect it to be like pizza express in Aldershot
