We are very close to the neighboring islands of Captiva, Cayo Costa, and Boca Grande which is known as the Tarpon Capital of the world. However, if you do forget something or run out of anything, we offer a grocery service: write down a list of items you need, and we will go back to the mainland to pick them up for you. Barnacle's restaurant has a variety of dishes from seafood, burgers, pasta and our famous black beans and rice to our home made key lime pie. Good Food...Great Portions

Very Good food and great size portions. A fun place to sit outside. Offers a small view of the water and has corn hole and ping pong set up outside to play while you wait. I do have to say though, both years we have gone, the servers were not welcoming. We didn't feel a valued customer. Thought... read more

Fantastic burgers and was served with crab cake. Yummy! Fish tacos fresh with delicious guacamole. Pass on the beer. It's lukewarm. Get something with ice. Great service by a sweet server!!

This is our place on the island. Absolutely delicious! Yes the prices are a bit high, but considering that everything must be boated in from the mainland; they are very reasonable. Our whole family, enjoyed their food, and no complaints. We highly recommend it to anyone traveling to North Captiva

The list of things bad things to say about this dump is too long to write so I'll enumerate my main complaints: 1) when you ask for water they bring you bottled water and charge you. They don't ask if you want tap water or bottled. Let's assume their island water is unpalatable. The solution is to bring your own--but... More

We only ate the ice cream here (served upstairs in the gift shop) but it was so good that we came back twice. The key lime pie ice cream was the best ice cream I have ever had and the toasted coconut was also very good.

Great food an atmosphere. We took our family of 11 there on our last night on the island to celebrate. It's usually pretty hard to make a large group happy with drinks and good, but everyone loved what they had.

We stayed on North Captiva in the Island Queen. A beautiful house that was managed by Barnacles. The house was spectacular! I would recommend renting it to anyone. It has everything you could ever dream of wanting in a magical setting. The pool and rooftop sitting area are both amazing. We ate at Barnacles many nights and the blackened cobia... More

While we were out for the day on our boat, we discovered Barnacles in North Captiva and loooked forward to a kind of tropical experience. A friendly guy helped us tie up the boat at the pier, then pointed us to the restaurant. The outside seating is at picnic tables under a thatched roof. Food is served in plastic baskets... More

This restaurant has changed owners and is now Barnacles. They have replaced the old tent with a huge chickee, added games for the kids, chairs along the water and a fresh coat of paint. We chose to eat outside (ok until July). A little pricey - The bill for lunch for three adults and one child was $63.00 (no alcohol... More

We stopped here while boating based on the recommendation of the folks at the marina where we rented our boat. I'm a novice boater at best, but still struggled getting back to where this place is located without running aground. So beware if getting there by boat. The food was over priced and nasty, the help wasn't very helpful. A... More
