Barnacle's Island Resorts has many vacation rental properties to accommodate groups of all sizes. For more information on our vacation rental properties, please visit our website at www.Barnaclesislandresort.Com If you're staying on the island for a while and want to bring your own boat, no problem. We offer dock rentals as well. Pine Island Sound has some of the best fishing in the world. We offer many different kinds of fishing charters so you can catch whatever it is you want to catch. Being that we are based right at the best water front location, Pineland Marina, you are litterally in prime fishing grounds the moment you leave the docks! Barnacle's Kayak Rentals offer you access to the Caloosa Blueway and an up close in personal experience of local wildlife in its natural, undisturbed habitat. Barnacle's Fishing Charters - Redfish, Trout, Snook, Tarpon, Shark, and all the saltwater fish in between People come from all over the world to fish our waters. When you arrive at Pineland Marina, you'll see why some of the best guides in Florida call it their home. You'll catch a wide variety of fish on every trip. Barnacle's offers the best inshore and offshore fishing trips on the Islands. Spend a half day or full day with one of our experienced guides. We are very close to the neighboring islands of Captiva, Cayo Costa, and Boca Grande which is known as the Tarpon Capital of the world. Visit the secluded Florida state park beaches that are only accessible by boat. This island wildlife preservation is home to rare bobcats, Bald Eagles, sea turtles, gofer tortoises and many more creatures. North Captiva offers you an exclusive opportunity to explore these undeveloped state park beaches. Barnacle's Guided ECO-Tours Our guided kayak eco-tours are a great way to explore the waters on Pine Island Sound. Adventures offers a 2 1/2 hour trip exploring our amazing eco-system and a change to get up close and personal with our many resident dolphins. Barnacle's Golf Cart Rentals If you are visiting North Captiva, Barnacles Island Adventures has golf cart rentals available daily, weekly and monthly. There are no motored vehicles permitted on the island, so if you're staying for a while, this is something you may want to check into. There is no grocery store on the island. So if you're staying for a few days, we encourage you to grab plenty of pantry items prior to your trip over. However, if you do forget something or run out of anything, we offer a grocery service: write down a list of items you need, and we will go back to the mainland to pick them up for you. Barnacle's restaurant has a variety of dishes from seafood, burgers, pasta and our famous black beans and rice to our home made key lime pie. Our Ice cream shop carries only the best, Queenie's Ice Cream, home made ice cream made fresh with locally grown ingredients.

Great Carribean Feel

I love this place. The location, right on Safety Harbor, is beautiful and the sandy beach, Adirondack chairs, and local fare add to this special Carribean feel. They even have live music on weekend afternoons. Prices are reasonable and the food is great.

We stop here for a lunch during a day boat trip with our friends. The restaurant is on North Captiva Island and it is casual and charming. We sat outside and there was a musician playing guitar and singing. We wait a little for a table and for someone to take our order but then we wait more than one... More

We had a great meal of shrimp, crab cakes and fish. All were fresh and cooked to perfection! We appreciated the casual beach-bum style atmosphere. An excellent option for North Captiva! I would give this five stars for "value!"

We had the great fortune to spend a week in Upper (North) Captiva and went to Barnacle Phil's for an afternoon Sangria. We were able to drive up in our golf cart with our 4-legged friend and had one of the best Sangria's I have ever had. The sun was warm, we sat outside in the outside seating, our dog... More

We did not eat a meal here, because of the long wait time. But we have ice cream in the evening several times. The ice cream is top quality. I was not impressed with the Pineapple Coconut Sorbet. The prices are very high compared to main land prices, but there is a cost to getting the products to the island.

We spent a weekend on North Captiva and went to Barnacle Phils a couple of times. As others have noted, they are short staffed and the wait can be lengthy for service. The food is pretty good and they have kayak rentals, volleyball, corn hole and a few other activities. The dock master was very nice and helpful.

They have corn hole, volleyball, a basketball hoop, and a ping pong table outside. It is a fun place to go with kids. You can enjoy the games while you are waiting. They are very short staffed, however, with only one server, so during peak season you will usually you will have to wait a little while for a table... More

We stopped here as part of a stellar shelling cruise. Although a little pricey - the food was outstanding and the place itself is very charming.

We ate here several times during our stay on North Captiva Island. The food was very good & the service was prompt & efficient. Loved it when chef Kevin came out to make sure our food was good. We ate dinner here twice when we stayed on North Captiva. We ate around 5pm both days after the boating crowd had cleared out. The service was excellent and the food was even better. We especially liked the crab cakes and the fried scallops on my husband's seafood platter were among the best scallops we've ever had. The fried plantains... More
