Best lamb I've had whilst travelling around NZ. Amazing mussels too. Very friendly staff and cosy restaurant in winter. Couldn't fault it.

Food is great and mean has a good variety. Prices are on the higher end but worth it for a good meal.

By the time we drove SH25 over the Coromandel Range from Hahei we were ready for our lunch and a rest. By chance we parked on the street very close to the Pepper Tree Restaurant and as there were plenty of available tables in the courtyard outside we grabbed a seat in the sunshine. The menu was heavily slanted towards... More

Our meal here was great. We were seated in the bar area as the main restaurant wasn't being used but it was midweek and it was fine. It was decorated up for a competition (Wild Food or something, I can't remember) they were competing in and it looked great. It was a little dark, we were in the corner and... More

Possibly the best lamb and mash I have had in years. The lamb just fell off of the bone, absolutely gorgeous. My mum went for the 3 burgers, which was on for "America Day" - the Thursday special. They came out in three different styles, apparently all very nice. I say "apparently" because I was not fortunate enough to get... More

i had a vegetarian salad and it was very tasty with lots of different favours. The service was excellent and it was very busy, we got the last table, definitely recommend booking as this is the best restaurant in town

By far the best restaurant we dined at while we stayed in coromandel. My wife had tasty mussels while I had the lamb. Both dishes had flavours that were out of this world. We cant wait to return for our next visit.

We had dinner at The Pepper Tree several years ago but we still remember it as one of the highlights of our trip to New Zealand. We were served by a gorgeous waitress who didn't really know much about waitressing but she was so charming and friendly that the various errors she committed were happily overlooked. I do remember that... More

Had a very enjoyable experience in Coromandel and this dinner at Peppertree was just what finished our last night of the holiday nicely. Honestly at this time of the year how can you beat sitting next to a nice warm fire sipping red wine eating premium steak... Not possible. It was so good I recommended it to some people on... More
