good lunch

The family sized fry is gigantic. The fries were good the burgers were tasty - the service was fast considering the size of the line. The only disappointment was the orangeade.

All we got was little scrap pieces of potatoes with the blemishes for fries. Onion rings are better. Over priced for what you get. The fries are much better across the street or down the road at Port Bruce.

There's a lot of history at Mackies. It's THE place in Port Stanley to hang out in the summer, right on the beach, for people watching and for fresh fish and chips. Yellow perch right out of the lake, from Lake Erie. Very fresh. I'm not a fan of the light breading they use - it might only be flour,... More

We went to Mackie's after our train ride for lunch. I ordered Perch lunch and it was not the best Perch I have had, I do not think I would order that meal again!!

Right on the beach. Very popular with every beach food possible, games room for kids, lots of seating inside and out. The pouting and famous Orangeade are top sellers. Nice to sit outside, eat and watch all the goings on on the. Beach. Even has basketball hoops to use.

Went with the whole family to watch out at the lake while we had our food. They claimed that their fish was "Great" The little guys ordered cod and chips and we adults had the perch and chips. The cod was cooked from frozen pre shaped fish and hard as a boot. The perch was fresh (we think) but very... More

Mackie's is only open on the weekends at this time of year. I returned after moving away and visited during Thanksgiving for 6 days. I couldn't wait to buy a hot dog, fries and an Orange Aid... Memorable, tasty and something traditional you simply must do. I truly hope they last forever and I will be back over and over... More

There's only one reason to visit Pt.Stanley and that reason is Mackies. We come to Mackies a couple of times year just to fill my craving for their fries, secret sauce and orangeade. Always busy for a reason but the lineups disappear quickly. I just wish they'd bottle that secret sauce so I could buy a case of it and... More

Other than the amazing sauce for the fries and the Orangeade the food is nothing special. The burgers are mediocre at best and overpriced for what you get. Fries are passable. It is a good kid friendly restaurant and they do well catering to families.
