A small cosy restaurant with friendly atmosphere. The reception area is tiny with a real fire burning in the hearth which added to the cosy atmosphere. This is a family run restaurant and that personal touch again attributed to the atmosphere. We went for the goats cheese tartlet. followed by the belly pork. and both courses were delicious! What we particularly... More

I recently visited this restaurant in Shepton Mallet for the first time. On entry the reception area/bar is quite small, we were a group of 13 and space was tight. There is also a fire in the room which makes it feel warm and cosy. The tables are set over two rooms and have a cottage feel. We ordered a... More

We were staying in Shepton Mallet whilst visiting the Bath Christmas markets and having read the reviews on trip adviser, booked a table for Saturday night. From the minute we opened the door on a very wintery cold night we were made to feel so welcome. The roaring fire in the cosy bar and the lovely lady who remembered my... More

We arrived and were warmly welcomed and immediately it was obvious the small bar ( rather too small ) had not changed , we ordered and went into the dining room and it looked identical to our last visit from 5 years previous but with new artwork on the wall. Overall hard to fault the food and service although a... More

A hidden gem in the not-so-desirable shepton mallet! booked for a meal with four adults and a three week old baby. was greeted at the door on arrival, served drinks and seated in the restaurant with drinks, menus and champagne we ordered for the table. the service was extremely quick, courses came out promptly one after another without having to... As of this writing, the fact that all the reviews here are 4 and 5 star tells you everything. In the firelit bar we sipped our gin and found it difficult to choose amongst the delights chalked on the menu boards. A moment later we were enjoying Fish Soup and Goat Cheese Tart, Duck Breast with Pear and Pork Belly... More

When we want to eat out we always try Blostin's first. It's been in Shepton Mallet for years and is well known by the locals as the place to spend that special evening. A small bar welcomes you with a hug as you enter where you sit and choose from the well thought out menu and specials. A reasonable choice... More

We were staying in Shepton Mallet for 3 nights and visited this place twice as it was within walking distance. Great menu, food and service, this place is by far the best eating establishment in Shepton Mallet. If you are in the area this is a must visit!
