Went here for lunch and took advantage of two for a tenner without expecting miracles, but I would have been ashamed to serve the size of portion of chicken casserole,it filled less than half a small plate ,the other half being a slice of bread or rather half a slice of bread.I understand that you can't expect much for a fiver... Dropped in for snack lunch after visiting the Bath and West showground for an Antiques Fair. Excellent and generous leek and stilton soup.

We were staying in the area and popped down to Jon Thorner's for some local supplies and noticed the Coffee Den. We found this place by accident, on our way to Dorset. We were lucky to get a table for Sunday lunch, it was packed. Roast beef was melt in the mouth, vegetables beautifully cooked, home made desserts were yummy. Service was very good and prices really reasonable.

Excellent fresh wholesome food! Service very slow today which is unusual and not what you want when you are on the road travelling! Friendly, polite staff! Well worth stopping off if you're travelling on the A37!

This was our third visit to the Coffee Den, on our way to a day out in Wells. The atmosphere, choice of food and excellent staff belie the exterior, "never judge a book..". There is a lovely patio at the back, seating at the front and the cafe is spacious inside. The loos are magnificent with hide wallpaper and some... More
