We are both fish lovers and having seen the reviews on Tripadvisor, put Jack and Linda's on out "todo" list, while visiting Brighton. A pleasant stroll in the lovely sunshine from the Pier, along the promenade past the Artist Quarter, we found the Smokehouse. Not many in line and soon being served by a very amiable couple, who seemed to have... More

Had a beautiful, fresh, tasty snack of whitebait and calamari with salad, bread and butter. Lovely, interesting and friendly couple. Thank you.

Jack and Linda Mills still do a great fresh mackerel roll and the fresh crab sandwich is very tasty. Easy to find on the beach

My wife and I went during the last week of May when it was a little cold and rainy. On the plus side, there was no line, actually we were the only ones there. This allowed us to buy a few things, eat outside, then go back in to try other items. We liked everything we tried. I don't know... More

Simple, well prepared and authentic fresh food. Jack and Linda know just how to give excellent quality at a competitive price. I've eaten here more times than I can remember. If you don't mind joining a queue in the busy periods, it's worth waiting for. My favourite is the kipper roll and crab sandwich. Get some Smoked Salmon to take... More

Jack and Linda's hideaway under the arches is the BEST place to eat yummy fresh crab sandwiches, crispy prawns and mackeral pâté. Not forgetting the grilled kippers in a roll are a real treat

You will probably find a queue at this 'hole-in-the wall' establishment on the sea front beside Brighton pier. And the team who run it are not set up for really fast food but, if you can spare the time, wait in line for the really fresh fish, freshly cooked and prepared in front of you. The food is really simple... More

A good old traditional cafe that serves full flavoured sandwiched and a variety of good fish. You may have to wait a few minutes as everything is prepared fresh but it is worth the wait. I had a crab sandwich which was piled high with dresses crab on nice brown bread. Good fresh crispy salad added to the taste. Traditional... More

By far the best sea food lunch in Brighton.. Very friendly caring couple and excellent value for money. Superb crap sandwhich , smoked salmon is to die for and can sit on the beach and enjoy. Would highly recommend this to anybody!

Hidden away under the arches between the Palace and West Piers. The simple fact that there was a queue attracted me to this tiny takeaway cafe on a sunny afternoon. A small menu displayed on the outside tells you that the food is fresh and simple. I had plaice goujons and some grilled mackerel, served with salad and fresh bread.... More
