Made the mistake or eating here recently - NEVER again!! To be fair, it was our mistake as we didn't check Trip Advisor first!!! :(((;( The food was average - apart from the price - and if we had checked the toilets before we booked we would not have eaten here!!!!!

The foragers has always been a really good quality place to eat in informal surroundings, but this week it was exceptional. We had a table of 6, and all of us had a terrific meal amongst friendly and welcoming staff. Enough said - it was great!

Visited here for lunch and the food was really excellent. On the expensive side for pub grub but worth the money as interesting and good quality. Sadly, this pub was let down by the service, one guy (possibly the manager) was very friendly and attentive but it wasn't enough to make up for the other staff who were unhelpful and... More

We had a work evening with 9 colleagues who were down on a sales conference, half of us were local but it was a first visit for all of us. The food was excellent, all fresh, hot, freshly cooked and served with good presentation. The service was surprising and unparalleled. they w re short of 2 service staff that evening... More

Sunday lunch in the Hove sunshine. Four of us had four different roast dinners which were all excellent. We were sat outside which must be a mistake because we spent our time foraging for service. They kept forgetting us. Very few soft drinks for the drivers and non-alcohol group. Toilets beyond description in their awfulness. Puddings were fabulous but we... More

Went here for dinner as a group of 6 friends. 3 courses each with a couple of bottles of wine came to 80 quid per couple. Food quality was great. Would return.

had lunch here this week. 2 courses for £12. starters were nice. fish and chips was a bit greasy, very thick batter, with 8 chips that needed cooking more as they were a bit hard. was really nice sitting outside, and overall was ok. won't rush back for food tho

The starter and desert was all about saying look at me, aren't I fancy. I was hungry, so I wanted more than a flick of this sauce, or a slither of smoked fish or smidgen of something or other. Shame, as if was simpler and a little more of it, that would have been great. The main was a lot... More

7 of us went and got hurried along by the waiter who wanted us to make all our orders by 7:30. 20 quid for a fatty chewy steak and a tenner for a burger ( not including chips). This place is more of a rip off than the gourmet burger co. Also the child's size piece of fish balanced on... More

Visited The Foragers again on a balmy summer evening. For us, the food, service and atmosphere was as good as ever. The cuisine aside, it's the enthusiastic staff that really make this great community pub. I note that The Foragers is one of the major movers behind a Stirling Place street party taking place at the end of August; we... More
