Nothing special , prices a bit high .

On my visit here my friends my friends had this to say about the place "nothing special , the price for the food didn't justify the price , not good value for money I won't be coming back". I thought my friend was a bit harsh. I liked the look and feel of the place but for me I didn't... read more

This was the our first visit to the Foragers for food although we have had drinks there a few times. It's thoroughly given over to eating on a Sunday, we neeeded to book our table for 3. There were quite a few large groups, one table of about 10 was celebrating a birthday. The welcome was very warm and we... More

The food in this pub is great in general, with the Sunday roasts particularly hard to fault. Between us we had beef, chicken and lamb - all come with Yorkshire pudding as standard (a major plus), and the roast potatoes were really well done. The wide selection of veg on the plate creates a very nice set of colours as... More

It was with much excitement I received confirmation of my booking for our group for Vanentines night. The menu looked great and I had heard wonderful things about this pub (not to mention the "Certificate of Excellence" awarded by TA). On arrival the atmosphere was lovely and waiting staff friendly, then the amuse bouche arrived and warning bells began. Don't... More

I discovered this little gem if a pub at the end of last year. You can park in Tesco car park and pop in for a cheeky beer ( Doombar on draft - which always reminds me of Padstein, The Rock and holidays in Cornwall) I haven't eaten there but the food always looks delicious - maybe next time. The... More

After deciding to treat our selves out to dinner on Friday we wanted somewhere relaxed. We rang the pub and they were happy to reserve a table for us last minute. The pub seemed very busy but we were taken round the back where there was a calmer atmosphere for diners. We ended up having three courses; quail's egg with... More

Visited here on recommendation for a drink and ended up staying for lunch. The bar staff are really friendly, and the decor is lovely - really funky and unusual. The food - fish and chips and a burger - was fantastic and far from traditional pub fare. The homemade tartare sauce was delicious, and everything was so fresh and tasty.... More

Loved every bit of our visit - from being helped through doors with our buggy by staff to the continuous impeccable service and friendly treatment by the managers and other staff. Friendly atmosphere and gorgeous location in quiet back roads. Food was divine - amazing Burgers, Moules Mariners and Roasts. Highly recommend especially if you have kids ;)

I like this pub - the staff are lovely and it has a good feel inside. Service was quick. Sunday lunch however was disappointing. At £15.50 for the beef roast I hoped for good quality but my beef was grissly and tough and potatoes slightly burnt. My friends veggie wellington was drenched in a sauce which she would have preferred... More

We have eaten here a few times over the last couple of years and always enjoy great food coupled with great service. We love the ambiance not too quiet and not blaringly noisy! The owner is a great guy and always gives a sincere warm welcome and seems to have not only got the right food recipes but with his... More
