This narrow restaurant is right on the seafront in Hove. The staff are Italian and very efficient. There is an excellent range of seafood dishes and a good range of ice creams. The portions are generous and attractively presented. We were there on a Sunday lunchtime and it was busy with plenty of families. Everyone seemed to be happy and... More

Had lovely meal with friends here. Fantastic atmosphere. With the exception of a slightly bland risotto, all the food was great and the portions huge (we doggy bagged some for lunch the following day!). I had the best bruschetta ever as a starter. Ice cream lovely, and squeezed in after all the food. Would definitely go again.

Hi Jec77 Thanks for your comments. One thing we would ask is this; If at any time you are not happy with any part of a meal, just tell us and let us deal with it. Thanks and see you again Nev More

i loved coming here, it is a shame that the new floor manager and the some of the new waiting staff are incompetent. i hear a lot from from people that have being sent away, when clearly could have being accomodated. At first i didn’t believe it but it has happened to us: on more than one occasion we were... More

Hi Vince Thanks for your comment. In fairness it's not a case of incompetent staff, it's customers who make reservations then fail to turn up. With over 2000 customers per weekend through our doors it takes a very efficient team to run the restaurant. Obviously I can understand your frustration, I hope you can understand our reasoning. We'd welcome you... More

My husband and I took 8 children here for a 9th birthday party tea, and we had the most wonderful time. They allowed us to bring in a cake, lit the candles and brought it to the table singing happy birthday. And catered to our every need. The children adored the huge portions of pizza and pasta, and went crazy... More

We've come to this friendly, unpretentious diner numerous times and it's always been very enjoyable. If you're looking for exquisite, award-winning dishes think again. If you're in search of reasonably-priced authentic Italian food in a bubbly setting try it. That's why this place gets so many star ratings. The pasta and risotto dishes are really tasty and portions are very... More

I've been coming to Marrocco's regularly for the past 4 years - it's 5 minutes along the seafront from home - but if it weren't I'd travel to get there. The homemade ice creams are lip smacking. The pastas (spaghetti vongole veraci) are perfect. The seafood platter close to epic. And the Brodo Dell’ Adriatico (fish stew) totally succulent. It's... More

This is an unpretentious restaurant/ice cream shop with the radio playing and TV screens, and very efficient but cheerless service. There are few places to go on the same stretch of beach and a diminishing number of independent Italian restaurants in Brighton and Hove generally, so selling a full menu from seafood to pizzas and pastas here, accommodating families very... I've eaten at Marrocco's many times, and it has always been wonderful. The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff, friendly and professional, whether you're buying an ice cream, breakfast outside or sitting down for dinner. The seafood is delicious and wonderfully fresh, I recommend The Fish Soup. Pastas are fresh and beautifully presented. I recently had the T Bone Steak and... More

Marocco's is famous for its ice cream and there is usually a queue of people buying a cone to take away. It looks more like a cafe inside but the food is excellent. We had lunch here while in Hove and it was one of the best Italian meals I've had in a long time. I had Spaghetti Marinara made... More
