Good food, consistent quality

This is the best Indian food Hove. It's always busy so it pays to book. Because it's popular it's crowded and the tables are cramped. They really need more space. In the Summer the front of the restaurant opens up making it feel more spacious( although it's not!) There is a wide choice of dishes on... read more

Went here with my mum and brother as well as a couple of friends and it was great. I ordered vegetable somosas, a King Prawn Rogan with a garlic naan, lamb biriyani and a blueberry sorbet for dessert for myself (I was hungry). The food was tasty and I especially enjoyed the kind prawn rogan with little cherry tomatoes in... More

Walked in off the street on a cold Friday night to a warm greeting. Possibly the most extensive menu I have seen in an Indian Restaurant. Opted for a Ceylon and it was perfectly spicy. The others at the table went for their tried and tested favourites and were very impressed, Good vibe and feel. Will certainly visit again for... More

On the plus side the food was generally good, although the samosas we ordered for starters are very small and contained a rather mushy meat filling. I chose a biriyani as my main but regretted it as it was rather stodgy and lacking in flavour. The portion size was very generous though. The vegetable curry that came with it was... More

Don't have much good to say about this place ordered a takeaway was given a delivery time of 1hour 30 mins which we agreed to. Nearly 2 hours passed and we still hadn't received out food called to chase and we're told it's on its way (no apology I might add) another 40 mins passes and still no sign of... More

It's a normal curry house, normal menu. And the food is exceptional. It's a cut above other places in the area. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere relaxed. If you want a curry, this is the place (If you're ordering a delivery, be prepared to wait a long time at the weekend)

This is routine Indian restaurant with a routine menu in a routine urban location with routine pricing. But that's about where the routine ends, because everything is pretty much spot on. The place is mostly lit by candles, the service is excellent and the food is delicious. It's strange eating the classic UK Indian food that you see everywhere; Dhansak,... More

Hove Tandoori never fails to please. The food is always top notch and delicious whether takeaway or eating in the restaurant. The service is always good and they do tend to recognise you from previous visits which is always appreciated. This is proper indian without the oil slicks often found on Currys in the UK
