There are places that take us back to our childhood: summer evenings, picnics by the spring, your first bike... La Font Picant is one of those places. An antique restaurant in an old railway station, a meeting point for the people of Sant Feliu, Santa Cristina... A beautiful little corner with plenty of heart. With this simplicity of form we offer a selection of meats, grilled or spit-roasted over a wood fire. We use only 100% natural products, cooked on charcoal from les Gavarres, obtained by natural means. We have chosen to pursue a policy of respect for the environment and local sustainability.

Nice food in a quiet environment

The place is nice, maybe sitting in the patio inside is better than outside because the road is quite close but anyway it is a quite and fresh place to have either lunch or dinner. Situated in a former railway station La Font Picant is a hidden gem that offers delicious authentic spanish cuisine and a service with a smile in a great location. Highly recommended.

Located in a former small trainstation outside christina d'aro and managed by the same owner as sa marinada in san feliu de guixols. If you pass the restaurant you won't think it's this good. Also great food, friendly service and special ambiance. The only big difference; grill and meat rule.

We'd been to the Font Picant in its old incarnation, and mostly in the depths of winter when we hugged cosily round the log fire. The food was good but not exceptional in those days, the main attraction being the fact we could eat in an old station (boy, I wish that railway between Sant Feliu and Girona was still... More

A fresh, stylish oasis beside a nice cycle road. Good food and service. Nice athmosphere. We would go there once again.

Gorgeous traditional food from the area, even for me as a vegetarian there were plenty of options. Very beautiful garden, friendly service, great experience

On recommendation of our bike holiday organizer, we stopped for lunch and found the restuarant to be charming in setting and decor. We sat outside in the courtyard and enjoyed three share dishes in the sun, tuna salad, eggs and potatoes, grilled asparagus. Each was interesting and enjoyable. The waiters were friendly and obliging with our very limited local language.... More

This restaurant is under new management and they have really expanded their menu. It is now possible to have excellent tapas and bocadillos. Today was my second visit and once again the bocadillo serrantino was delicious. It was freshly cooked and attractively served. I also had an excellent cafe con helo. The only downside is the tables and chairs out... More

Font Picant has come under new ownership. A major improvement is the terrace, which is much nicer now. But on the downside is the loss of its charm, which was due in large measure to the very kind and welcoming staff. The food was almost up to its previous standard, but not quite.
