A cut above most Lanzarote eateries

I wandered in here by chance for a lunchtime tapas and immediately decided to book for dinner the following day being my wife's birthday. Excellent food, helpful multi-lingual waitress, and good selection of wines including many from Lanzarote itself. The first DECENT salad we'd found since our arrival. So impressed that we also visited Tabla in Arrecife (same ownership) which... More

Very busy on days when there is the craft fair The layout of the restaurant is interesting with seating suitable for groups to 10-12.

My partner used to visit this restaurant a lot, & said it used to be great. However, it all seemed a bit lazy and over-priced. For example, a cold seafood board, with bought in smoked salmon/tuna, vinegary octopus and anchovies, for 19.95, doesn't excite me like it would if some hot, freshly cooked seafood was on there too. We ordered... More

The manager has been enologe at Antinori for 32 years. Now has a restaurant with small nice wine list, but hugh fantastic wine cellar that allows a lot besides the wine list. Food is very good, would say 4 stars and service is just perfect. We went there just bu chance, and ended up eating there every night on our... More

This has to be one of the best places for a great grazing lunch on the island. We sat nibbling away at several items from the menu over the course of a couple of hours and enjoyed every mouthful and some great red wines. The food is really wonderful and a bit different from the norm on the island. Really... More

This restaurant had been recommended and wow, what a find... Tucked away in the old town of Teguise, up in the hills, miles from the tourist resorts. Absolutely fabulous food, so tasty, a real treat. I ordered a burger with sweet potato fries and salad - the best burger on Lanzarote. Dessert was a chocolate brownie and ice cream with... More

After an hour wandering around the beautiful village of Teguise we stopped here originaly just for a cool drink but were tempted into a snack by all the gorgeous sounding options on the menu. We had a simple dish of Piementos de Padron and Sweet Potato chips along with a couple of long drinks then coffee. Food & drinks were... More

Thank you for such nice words, we are glad you enjoyed the Cantina experience and can agree that Teguise is a much nicer town during the week or at any time when the market is not on. Teguise is the oldest town in the Canary Islands and has over 600 years of history, it is also a protected area resulting... More

Visiting the Sunday market we walked past the burger vans and through the market and found local Teguise with cobbled streets and artisan craft studios. We also found this superb restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Greeted with a friendly hello as we were seated next to an Italian couple on the adjoining table. The selection of local meats, cheese,... More

A very nice restaurant in Teguise. We went there on Christmas eve. The service was very nice, friendly and the food even better. After dinner they guided us into their small garden, were we listened to a super Jazz singer. Great atmosphere!!! I advise it to my guests. In case you visit the Sunday market go by and have a... Tortilla espanola, sweet potato fries, mixed olives and bruschetta- really good quality and therefore price is definitely ok. Service is a little disorganized so it can happen that you wait longer and waiters tend to forget things. Get ready to ask twice or thrice for stuff you ordered... All in all still 4 points and definitely a recommendation to go... More
