Nice food, great place and reasonable price

This restaurant is in a historical building, which gives it a very nice atmosphere. The menu wasn't very long, so there's not very much to choose from. However, the things we tried were quite good, and the price we paid was quite reasonable. The service was also very friendly and professional.

We spent 6 days in Lanzarote and on 4 of them returned to La Cantina, even if just to have a glass of local wine and enjoy the relaxed interior and wonderful staff but we truly recommend the food - the best Lanzarote has to offer all in one place. We really wish we had a place like this in... More

Stopped here after a visit to see Teguise. We were the only people in as we arrived late afternoon. For drinks we were impressed by the selection of imported beers and opted for the Belgian beers. We had the garlic mushrooms focaccia followed by the Uruguayan steaks. The mushroom starter was very big and easily enough for two and tasted delicious.... More

This is a high quality restaurant and the tapas are great. We had a plate of papas gourmet ( small whitebait ) and these were good but not quite up to the normal standard as they were really small and hence a bit crisp. A plate of alias de pollo ( chicken thighs with honey, soy and sesame seed ) -... More

Advised by our Lonely Planet guidebook, we stopped at La Cantina for a quick tapas lunch. Location is really nice, typical old Canarian-style house with internal patio- here is where we were sitting. We ordered a large seafood plate with delicioua smoked salmon and fried fish. We had also some pimientos and Canarian potatos. Quick service and pleasant atmosphere. Not... More

An excellent lunch with a sharing platter. Gluten free options available and some excellent gluten free bread. It is a welcoming refuge from the inevitable walk around the very large Sunday Market. There were many things on the menu to come for. Also tempting to try out their new place in Arrecife and the promise of gluten free gourmet burgers.

We stopped here for coffees during our recent visit to Teguise. We were sorry we weren't able to return for a full meal, as we were very impressed with the place itself and the friendly and courteous man who served us. My husband left his shades here by mistake, but when we called the following day, they had been found... More

Second visit and the menu was more limited this time but very tasty still and a great selection of beers. Looses a star because the 'secret garden' was closed again when we visited.

We've stayed near Teguise six times and mostly visited Palacio del Marques for tapas. Last time it was closed so we went to La Cantina. It's a nice place with a youthfull and nice staff. The tapas were not bad but nothing special either. Maybe we try another dish next time and give an update because we are coming back... More
