The sheer personality of the waiter led us to the huge fish platter special; it was wonderful! Every type of fish and seafood served with salted baby potatoes and one of the nicest salads around. We couldn't manage a dessert as we had eaten so much. We spent 52 euros for the two of us. We were very well fed... More

Although this restaurant is not by the sea, it is situated by the little church on back road to centre. It is typical Canarian restaurant, good menu, good prices and when we were there last year because we did not have the free dessert( no time) they gave us a little bottle of coffee liquor.

You get a nice welcome here and they do baby goat which is fun to eat with your hands which I did whilst my wife had entrecote steak and she got two.We shared our favourite starter peppers pardon and had a bottle of wine .I think the total was around fifty euros and it was a very pleasant evening.

We almost didn't go in as not many people in, but it soon filled up with locals (always a good sign) We were warmly welcomed and ordered a starter and main course. Both were excellent as was the wine. One of the family members was leaving and gave us two bottles of liqueurs as a gift for our visit. The... More

We unfortunately decided to eat at Casa Jose on our first night in Playa Blanca. Everything we tried to order was sold out or unavailable, so we eventually both settled on Pork with Canarian potatoes, I also ordered a bottle of red wine. Eventually the meal arrived and not only did it look unappertising it was so salty and dry... More

Casa José has changed over the years but not very much! There's a new conservatory type extension at the front and the waiter is now under 70. The food is as good as ever - local dishes cooked to perfection. For goodness sake don't order chicken and chips! Try the potaje canario. Enjoy the goat stew. Relish the fresh fish.... More
