In the square opposite the church and a Lonely Planet recommendation. A family concern, with history of the founder (a really nice bloke apparently) on display; our waiter lived up to the hype by entertaining the kids, silencing our grandson (takes some doing!) and providing free ice-cream lollies afterwards. Grilled fish/chicken on the kids' menu and the 4 adults had... More

This was the most amazing fish meal. We had the grilled fish special and it was fabulous. At least 4 different types of fish, salad , Canarian potatoes and mojo sauces. Excellent service and a complimentary desert and liqueur. Including wine water and a tip we paid €50 - fabulous😍

We went to Casa Jose on the first night. It is a typical Spanish restaurant and the staff are very friendly. We went with the waiter's recomendation and had the shared mixed fish grille - it was massive.

We have eaten at Casa Jose on a previous visit to Playa Blanca and were eager to take our friend there. Unfortunately this time the food was awful - seafood paella with only two mussels and one prawn per person and calamari that were almost burnt.

Tomato soup like wall paper paste and grilled fish hardly edible as full of very small bones. Empty restaurant at 20.00 hrs therefore lacking atmosphere. Waiter made 2 mistakes with the order.

The sheer personality of the waiter led us to the huge fish platter special; it was wonderful! Every type of fish and seafood served with salted baby potatoes and one of the nicest salads around. We couldn't manage a dessert as we had eaten so much. We spent 52 euros for the two of us. We were very well fed... More

Although this restaurant is not by the sea, it is situated by the little church on back road to centre. It is typical Canarian restaurant, good menu, good prices and when we were there last year because we did not have the free dessert( no time) they gave us a little bottle of coffee liquor.

You get a nice welcome here and they do baby goat which is fun to eat with your hands which I did whilst my wife had entrecote steak and she got two.We shared our favourite starter peppers pardon and had a bottle of wine .I think the total was around fifty euros and it was a very pleasant evening.
