Authentic canarian restuarant

We eat here as we wanted something different from the usual fare on the beach front. Its located just next to the church on the hill up from the main taxi rank. It also has a good bar area which I will use on our next trip. The sea food special was very tasty and good value. The stak was... read more

Had been to this restaurant in previous years, but this became my regular haunt due to its friendly welcome, good and varied food and would recommend it. As a solo traveller, on this occasion, it was nice to have a friendly venue and the cook came out to meet me on one night. My only criticism is that they did... More

Have been here a few times now and always enjoyed it. Two of us had fish . Both enjoyed what we had but i was told that the Catch of the day was 3 whole fish on a platter as i have had before. I got a filleted piece and on questioning this was told the order was correct? A... More

On a day trip from Fuerteventura we chose this restaurant by appearance - bad mistake. The waitress was totally preoccupied with chewing gum and not to our order. There were four of us. my male friend and I ordered BBQd spare ribs.- what arrived eventually was pork chops of indeterminate age . When we complained she told us that the... More

Reading the Tripadvisor reviews we decided to try Casa Jose - some reviews were good and some were not very good. Unfortunately we fell on the "not so good" side. I ordered pork fillet with a pepper sauce. The meat was so tough that most of it was left on the plate. Perhaps the chef thought that if the fillet... More

Tired after a long day travelling, this was handy, open and had space so in we went and had an enjoyable meal, well served and at a good price. Food seemed freshly cooked and portions were good, we were early and more punters awre arriving as we left. The bar area was busy with football on the TV and lots... More

It wasn't a busy evening and there was an air of "don't care" from the start. In short, after a long wait, the cold starter and hot main course arrived at almost exactly the same time. When I commented on this, in friendly Spanish, I got the reply that the main course's plate was very hot (meaning the food wouldn't... More

Had a dreadful experience here. I think it was primarily the waitresses fault but having ordered a meal for three- my husband's entire meal was forgotten, my son's pasta was inedibly greasy and all of this was delivered to us after a full hour of waiting. Forgotten water, forgotten main, forgotten sides, forgotten glasses- actually forgotten diners..... The waitress was... More

In the square opposite the church and a Lonely Planet recommendation. A family concern, with history of the founder (a really nice bloke apparently) on display; our waiter lived up to the hype by entertaining the kids, silencing our grandson (takes some doing!) and providing free ice-cream lollies afterwards. Grilled fish/chicken on the kids' menu and the 4 adults had... More

This was the most amazing fish meal. We had the grilled fish special and it was fabulous. At least 4 different types of fish, salad , Canarian potatoes and mojo sauces. Excellent service and a complimentary desert and liqueur. Including wine water and a tip we paid €50 - fabulous😍
