We enjoyed our first night in Playa Blanca by visiting this restaurant near to our Hotel. It was a lovely start to our holiday. The tapas are excellent value and the portions are very good. One street back from the sea front you find tipicol espanol. It is always busy with friendly staff. Go for the tapas menu, such good value and really tasty. Been so many times, same as the seafront resturants but half the price.

Tipico Espanol in Playa Blanca has always been one of our firm favourites but sadly this time the food let it down. The service was good, there is a new guy who seems quite nervous. The two regular guys are as friendly as always. We ordered steaks - as you do here as they're usually fabulous but all three were... More

Visited yesterday evening my daughter and son had chicken nuggets and chips followed by ice-cream, my older daughter had octopus galaga and garlic bread. Followed by the lemon filled with ice-cream. My partner had the young bull wiv chips, I had the grilled tuna, all plates were full to the brim we thoroughly enjoyed our meals which showed by empty... More

Visited here in April 2015- we initially encountered a catalogue of errors.... A high chair for my baby that was older than me and not especially safe, vodka being put in my (recovered alcoholic) father's drink, my mini wine bottle being served and left on the table and not having the cork removed, my son being served grilled chicken when... Typical local food. Good quality and plentiful. Good atmosphere. Reasonably priced. Service was friendly and not rushed. The restaurant was full and obviously popular.

Food is great, not junk food. Canarian based food. Entertaining friendly staff if you interact with them. Usually quite busy, it is a step away from the rip off restaurants by the sea. They have time to give you attentive, friendly service. Never had a bad meal in the 10 years we have been going there. Its longevity speaks for... More

After a loooonnnngggg wait for our food order to be taken, we had a loooonnnnnnggggg wait for food. We had ordered a starter to share but that didn't arrive. The main did and it was ok - nothing special but ok. For what you pay the food is average but we won't be returning as there are nicer places which... More

We had three meals 1 great, 1 very good and 1 indifferent. Service is very good and comes with a wee rant about Catalunya, but said Catalunyan wine was fab and great value for money, I am biased being a Spanish red wine drinker Our last meal disappointed, my lamb was tough and very pale , was it lamb or...
