Appalling "welcome". When we asked for the menu of the day the waitor threw a piece of paper at the table with rough handwriting and claimed that it was the menu of the day. After explaining we couldn't read the writing he snatched it away and told us to hurry up reading the menu.

Laid back service and simple well prepared food. Unfortunatly like most of the restaurants they have had to dumb it down for the tourist trade. Recommend any seafood here as the chef cooks it perfectly. Was disappointed with the Spanish style rabbit as it was served with a pile of sad looking chips and overcooked veg. Also the Catalan cream... More

We've eaten here a number of times & have never been disappointed. Good food, great service and a wonderful buzzy atmosphere.

Wife, daughter and I shared 5-6 tapas dishes and drinks for 31 Euros at lunchtime; absolutely lovely. Even the suspiciously vague 'lamb in sauce' was delicious, as was the Galacian octopus, garlic prawns, Argentinean sausage. All of it, really. Staff really helpful and welcoming. When we ordered chips on the side they informed us two of our tapas came with... More

I have to say it was fantastic the food was plentiful and tasty with so much choice on the menu. We all had starters main and desert with two bottles of cava... More

We enjoyed our first night in Playa Blanca by visiting this restaurant near to our Hotel. It was a lovely start to our holiday. The tapas are excellent value and the portions are very good. The staff are so friendly and helfpul. We received a drink on the house on leaving and were impressed with the restaurant. Well worth a... More

One street back from the sea front you find tipicol espanol. It is always busy with friendly staff. Go for the tapas menu, such good value and really tasty. Been so many times, same as the seafront resturants but half the price.

Tipico Espanol in Playa Blanca has always been one of our firm favourites but sadly this time the food let it down. The service was good, there is a new guy who seems quite nervous. The two regular guys are as friendly as always. We ordered steaks - as you do here as they're usually fabulous but all three were... More
