Lived up to its reputation

This restaurant had been recommended to us and we finally got round to eating there. We booked a few days before to get a window table, the place was full which is always a good sign. The staff were so charming and knowledgable about the wines and food , we tried a new wine there which was very... read more

Have been to this place many times but not for a while...I don't know why I have stayed away..it's fantastic. Very generous portion of garlic prawns and the pork fillet in red berry sauce was to die for. And I had dessert...very unusual for me...couldn't resist the crepes Suzette. So good, definitely recommended.

Usually, I don't write too many reviews on restaurants, but this time, I gladly make an exception... La Chalantina, situated in the marina of Playa Blanca, Lanzarote, is simply one of the best places to eat in Playa Blanca. Maybe it hasn't got the big terrace with waiters trying to lure you in, and you even have to climb some... More

We stayed for a week in playa blanca and both my girlfriend and I reckon this was the best meal we had on our stay. The setting is beautiful and there is a lovely relaxed atmosphere within the restaurant. The service is excellent, it's good value and its a must if you're in Playa Blanca.

i am wary about relying on Trip Advisor because so often my tastes have proved to be out of step with other reviewers. How for example can the best restaurant in Playa Blanca be a run of the mill fish and chip shop????? But on this occasion my experience was in line with the overwhelming number of other commentators and... More

We dined at "La Chalanita" on a return visit during our annual week in Playa Blanca. Though quite pricey for this resort, the combination of location, food and service makes it, in our opinion, well worth trying for those looking for something more traditional. In particular, the fish dishes are well prepared and simply presented with the Canarian vegetables that... More

This is a very good restaurant. Really worth a visit for a special dinner. But no problem dropping in for a simple lunch either. My favourite in Playa Blanca.

We discovered this delight on the last night of our holiday. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, the staff attentive and the food was wonderful. Definitely worth a visit.

We dined twice in a week to get away from the fast food ambience of the other restaurants on Playa Blanca seafront. Good food well cooked and friendly unobtrusive service. Watch out for large portions so don't over order. Second time the quality of the chicken was not up to scratch so we weren't charged for it. Nice ambience and... More

We visited after coming to playa Blanca frequently but always going to other restaurants, it was on the list of places we still had to try having been everywhere else! It was an absolute disappointment, no words really for how terrible the food was. The starter arrives & it's an enormous bowl of mushrooms, cooked with ham & what appeared... More
