We had not visited for a while but we will be back soon - an excellent meal and occasion Remember to book a window table to get the full benefit of the views over the harbour and across to Fuerteventura Started with a shared plate of gambas de la Santa ( small gambas from the other side of Lanzarote )... We ate recently at la chalanita. It was actually quite a nice dinner. Disnt get the best table, its nicer if you get one of the window sits, the others are not so cousy. The food was actually good, i mean no secrets, but very fresh and tasty fish. We had some lovely local srimps and also very well prepared... More

Make sure you book a table in advance if you want a window seat. Great food (we had prawns in garlic and squid and then gilt headed bass in salt coat - amazing). The atmosphere is very relaxed and the staff are attentive without being overbearing. All in all we had a great dinner at a very reasonbale cost. Go... More

We have known Jose and Roman for many years, they used to work in an old restaurant which had since closed and been replaced by a Chinese restaurant. They now own the Chalanita which we always visit when in Playa Blanca, which is at least once a year. The food is always good although the veg is not very hot.... More

Having looked forward to a return visit to La Chalanita (visited in 2014 also), we were left very disappointed indeed this time...The waiter (youngest of them all with no glasses) was very abrupt and rude, walking away before we had finished our order, his attitude was not good nor welcoming. My spinach canalloini was cold in the middle (I did... More

Thanks to Tripadvisor reviews we found this hidden gem on the promenade of Playa Blanca. The entrance is not even on the promenade, but on the street above. Although in the middle of the whole barrage of tourist restaurants this is a really nice traditional Spanish restaurant. Excellent service, gorgeous views and awesome food.

Love this place, the best for fresh fish and steaks. Definitely recommend booking and if you get in early enough book a table by the window for a wonderful view of the ocean.
