We dined here as a special birthday treat and it most certainly was . Overlooking the marina with the sun about to set the view is breathtaking . The staff were very attentive and helpful with their menu knowledge and recommendations . Chateaubriand was our choice and it was delicious - so tender and juicy and accompanied by some tasty... This restaurant is in a nice position on the Marina but the food quality was not up to the standard we experienced in the cheaper , less pretentious restaurants in the area . The service was good but the food was rather dry and didn't live up to the descriptions in the menu sadly .

the restaurant is lovely and the meals are nice too. however the waiters can be a little prickly when you order your wine. i enjoy a nice rioja and they didn't seem to like my choice of wine and tried pushing me to order a different one. when i declined it the atmosphere seemed to change a little. which is... On arrival we were shown to a table and given menus, then we waited and waited and waited some more. We then we're offered a wine list. After about 10 more minutes the sommelier returned and took our wine order. Still we sat with menus waiting for our order to be taken. We were sat a few feet from the... More

We were visiting this venue for a romantic meal on our honeymoon, as we wanted a seat over looking the water we waited a few days. Menu looked very nice if a little expensive but as we were on our honeymoon we decided to splash out. We were seated but waited a long time and had to ask for champagne.... More

I visited here with my family to celebrate my birthday one evening in august. My wife had the sea bass which was good. As a birthday treat, I opted for the lobster which was 42 euros! Unfortunately, when it arrived, it was dry and not well seasoned, not to mention there was not much of it either. It was so... More

Went for a meal here with my wife at the end of August. Read some decent reviews so decided to give it a try. First impressions upon arrival were not great. It was quite clearly a frustration for the manager that we had not not made a reservation. We thought that was our mistake and therefore let it go. It... More

We decided to try somewhere different for dinner, ohh I so wish we hadn't and stuck to the good places! For a supposed upper end restaurant the service was appalling, we had to prompt for menus, wine list. Had we known what the food was going to be like, we should have taken a hint from the service and left........ More

While staying in Playa Blanca we celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary and chose to eat at La Casa Roja to mark the occasion. We arrived at the restaurant for 7.30, and although we did not have a booking they were happy to find a well positioned table for us. My husband and I enjoyed a chateaubriand that was cooked on... Lovely restaurant great setting in Marina Rubicon. Excellent food and even understood my dietary requirements as I have coeliac disease, even had gluten free bread which I rarely get in restaurants in the uk. Staff very attentive and great wine recommended by friendly wine waiter. Had some superb meals during our 2 week stay. Will definitely return on our next... More
