I had promised myself a decent fish meal all weekend but had got sidetracked with marvelous Tapas at another venue, this was to be the night. We chose La Cas Roja mainly because of it's location with a great view of The Marina, and with the sun descending gently into the azure waters we weren't disappointed. We selected a Cava... More

We had an evening meal whilst on holiday. It my husband, 2 year old son and I. We sat outside with a lovely view, and the staff were great with my son. For food we had the chateau briand, which the final cooking was done table side. Only let down was verging on cold veg. We also had a lovely... More

Lovely setting and beautifully appointed restaurant. However thats as good as it gets. The starter menu is adventurous but not cheap; our orders (there were 4 of us) were nicely presented and enjoyable. The mains on the other hand were disappointing - in 2 cases because the wrong choice was made but the chateaubriand I shared with my friend was... More

Dined as a party of ten in this very pleasant looking restaurant overlooking the marina. The service was energetic and attentive, although when I asked for sparkling water the waitress rebuked that if hadn't been asked for at the start of the meal. The menu read well with a lovely selection of local dishes and a good reference to the... More

Dined here alfresco on our last night. It is nicely situated amongst bars and restaurants along the marina. Tables beautifully set, waiting staff all in uniform. Everything looked set fair. Previous reviews are sadly right. Service and food do not live up to the surroundings and price. We received fresh bread, water and drinks swiftly. Best G&Ts of the holiday:... More

We visited Casa Roja twice during our 1 week stay, choosing to spend our last eve on 8th Oct at the restaurant (this speaks volumes as I would rarely re-visit a restaurant within the same week). All the staff were helpful and friendly and there was a good selection of 'specials' which was mainly fish dishes. We felt the food... More

On entering, the service was very attentive.Whilst deciding what to eat, rolls were distributed ( and subsequently appeared on the bill at !.75 euros each!). After ordering, 2 amusee bouche per person were given which were very nice -- possibly the best part of the meal! Of the three starters ordered, one was excellent, crunchy shrimps with olive patenade, one,... More

Visited here on our last night. Looked nice. Prices were expensive for what you got. Very tasty beef. Dessert was very poor, looked like something from a school dinner, very pricey and tasteless. Service was very lacking, waited 20 mins for the bill!

The Casa Roja is in a fine position overlooking the boats in the Rubicon Marina, and has fine service. But the best is the food, there is a subtlety to the food and its preparation which makes this restaurant stand out from any other in the area. Try the specialities, they are usually fish and were always excellent.

This is an attractive restaurant with an excellent waterside location. Service is good and very professional if lacking a little warmth. Food was well-cooked and presented and gave no real grounds for complaint - it just did not have quite the flair of Blue Note and it was just that little bit more expensive. You will get a good meal... More
