We ate at this restaurant twice during our stay. It's basically a barbecue restaurant but it's amazingly tasty. The restaurant is in an old farm house up in the hills above Son Bou. It's beautifully peaceful and romantic. On our first visit I had a goats cheese salad to start and my partner had 'table grill snacks' which were sausage... More

The ambiance in this restaurant is amazing. The romance is in the air, the sunset is beautiful. We did not expect this! The dinner of flame lamb and chicken was very good. The staff is very helpful despite there English is not so good. Absolute a must go when you are at Son Bou, Menorca

First visit to this restaurant and I have to say I was very impressed. Whilst being in the middle of nowhere the farmhouse is a great backdrop especially as the sun sets and the flame lamps are lit. We had a selection of starters but the Octopus was the stand out dish and was superb the best I have had... More

It is well off the beaten track, but well worth the excursion. The restaurant is beautiful in an isolated yet fantastic location. The staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The old barbecue they use was something else and a spectacle in itself. The food was divine, especially if you are a big meat fan. This is... More

Me and my wife and 3 month old son visited twice between 23-30 June and on both occasions the food, atmosphere and service were great. There is a big grill and a variety of meats, suckling pig, slow cook beef Menorcan style, Uruguayan steak etc as well as a variety of other non meat dishes. The venue is really nice,... More

We made the effort (& it is an effort) to find Es Forn because of the trip advisor reviews & I don't think I've ever been so delighted with a restaurant before. For me it's a close call between Es Forn & Casa Andres for the best restaurant in the area but, while Andres wins for Son Bou centre, if... More

We went for dinner here last night (1st June). The drive from Son Bou takes a few minutes up the hill and you definitely wouldn't want to walk there as it is down a long pot holed track with no lighting. The car park was empty at 8pm but there was one family there when we arrived. Very quiet overall... More

Visited Es Forn in May ,even though the restaurant was quiet the service was very attentive. The food was delicious and tasty with great attention to detail. I had the Uraguayan steak which was awesome, we would recommend Es Forn to anyone looking for a great meal in a romantic venue.

This restaurant is situated behind the villas and apartments at the top of the hill, behind the resort of Son Bou. You do have to travel down a couple of deserted, unlit roads to find it, but there are signs to point the way. Es Forn is a large old farmhouse, with a fantastic countryside outdoor terrace, covered by pergolas,... More
