There are resort areas with all the amenities, and all-inclusive hotels for the family, but if you never venture outside these you will miss the real Memorca. Most of the island beaches (over 200 of them, large and small) are completely undeveloped. Some of the loveliest can only be reached on foot or by boat. Venture into the farming interior,... More

Went to Menorca about 7 yrs ago. Stayed at the hotel cala Blane's . only 3 star but a great place. The little cove it sits on is a little bit of Paradise. Ciutiadella is now the main town taking over from Mahon. It is truely a beautiful town to be in. The square , colour of the local stone... More

Liked everything about it bar the humidity. Have freinds who live on the Island and have been fortunate to be taken around to the non- tourist locations

Very picturesque, more greenery than we expected, traditional houses look better than those where the roof tiles are also painted white. Lovely bays if you avoid the over-hyped ones and search out the quieter ones such as Cala Pregonda on the north side and Cala Galdana on the south. There is little by way of coast roads, Mao and Ciutadella... More

Lovely relaxing island - great for families. One of the nicest beaches I have been on with a nice shallow sea for the children to paddle in.

Enjoyed a lovely holiday in Cala'n Porter. This small town is perfect for a quiet family beach holiday. The city of Mahon was surprising, really good for a day out - huge harbour, interesting history and nice cafes & shops. Menorca was sunny and warm in July, but there's usually a breeze and low humidity. So you can tan without... More

Loved Menorca because it's the opposite of Majorca, no rowdy bars or over commercialized towns. ( well I didn't see any anyway) The people were friendly , atmosphere very relaxing and felt safe. Also very pretty scenery, quite lush greenery and lots of trees. Mahon has some nice shops and has some pretty traditional buildings, the harbor area was great.

Great little mediteranean island particularly pleasant in October and with the addition of the lack of ful season visitors makes this a restful retreat to end the holiday season. Many fine attractions and as this year very good late summer weather makes this a fine location for a quiet rest.
