First they try the old, 'oh dear, this bottle of wine must have got air in it'. I've been on the end of that rubbish before. When I surprisingly complain, a younger wine is brought out. I played the game on this one. Then they serve the most tasteless paella. We've eaten it before and even made our own. I... More

A perfect place for dining! It is possible to either sit at the nice tables directly on calle Cadiz or on the nice patio in the back. Food and service is excellent and also some good vegetarians meals

There are a LOT of tapas bars in Conil. Many of them do quite fancy tapas dishes, but we wanted traditional Spanish tapas - calamari, patatas bravas, chorizo etc. Everything we wanted was on the menu here, all done well, and in generous portions. We also enjoyed carne al toro, stuffed red peppers. We ate at the back in the... More

Went as a result of good Tripadvisor rating - yes the portions are enormous, but the food was just OK - the same red sauce accompanied 4 dishes! Also the food arrived rather too quickly to have been prepared from scratch. It definitely was not authentic Andalucian cooking - more suited to unadventurous tourists, I think. For something more interesting... More

We originally went to try to eat at the Bar La Mejorana owing to it's good reviews on Trip Advisor but could not get in (all week!) so ate here instead at a table in the street (more like an ally really) and we were very impressed by the quality of the food and the service. The only problem was... More

We stumbled into the bar more or less by accident with two hungry boys in tow. A couple of tapas later (very good albondingas) the mood was much improved. Very friendly staff, nice chat with the friendly German couple who run the place, very enjoyable.

We visit Conil a lot and keep returning to this place, time and again. The menu offers a greater variety than most in the area and the 'rationes' are generous and good value. Favourites here are the flaming chorizo in sherry, the tortilla and the calamares. It is very easy to over order.... Aside from the tables on the trafficless... More

We were pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. We had already been to a few of the tapas bars on this busy touristy street and they were mostly fried fish or fried fish - not a lot of choice. This place was better than expected. The food was very good. The choice was good as well. We had several different tapas... More
