Great food but very warm to sit in

Great food but we sat outside, which was really too warm. Wish we had sat inside with the air conditioning. Fish brought to table for us to choose from. The kebabs were fabulous. Would go back but inside. Some evenings the do a 3 course meal for 12.50 Euros, great value.

All the other places we ate in the area were great, so the Grelhador stood out as a miserable experience. The food was poor but was priced as if it was something special. And the waiter managed to make us feel like cheapskates when we didn't want a desert. They need a new chef, a price cut, and a better... More

We dined here about halfway through our holiday, it was the cheaper of the 2 restaurants we had decided to choose from. From the outside it looks old and rustic, a good thing we thought for traditional cooking. There is a inside dining area and a outside covered area which we chose being smokers. The waiter was an older guy... More

We ate here last night. We are at the end of a two week holiday in the algarve and ate out every night, in the main I have been very pleased, however we had a different experience here. My partner is vegetarian and overall she is not well catered for in portugal-choices are limited to say the least. She chose... More

We visited here in june and staff were very friendly and inviting. The food was the best I've tasted in Portugal. I had the monk fish kebab and this was so fresh and delicious. My partner had the steak in mushroom sauce and it was cooked to perfection. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

We had the tourist menu on two occasions and the a la carte once. the tourist menu is great value with starter, main course, (fish or chicken), dessert and half bottle of wine for E12.50. From the a la carte we chose a fish kebab which was divine, the owner is very friendly and there is a nice atmosphere. Would... More

Went here several times with my husband for dinner. Service excellent food beautiful a little gem of a place. Very friendly staff. Even the owner was serving that night. We sat in the area outside which is lovely. There is also a large dining area inside. Thankyou.

This is a typical portuguese restaurant with the food heavily based towards charcoal grilling. . We sat in the outer area . The food was a good average.Staff were a bit offhand.

We loved the food for its freshness even if it was probably lesser on spices (we are Indian!). The orange juice was refreshing, but then we were in Portugal, its always fresh! The tiger prawns were fantastic and my wifes fish dish was succulent. The dessert was a bit of a let down - it was ready made dessert from... More
