Doesn't look much from the outside, and isn't in a scenic location, but food and service both very good. Price very acceptable. Menu is in Italian but waiter (owner ?) was very accomodating and translated with reasonably good grace. I know - what should we expect !! Well worth a visit.

There's not a lot of classy places to eat in Vicchio but this is one. Hidden behind the pleasant but modest façade is an extraordinarily series of spacious and modern rooms. Very welcoming, relaxed. Excellent food. Try steak tartare and bistecca Fiorentina. Even the veggie option looked good. The proprietor looks like Heston Blumenthal.

The strong, simple flavours that dominate Tuscan cuisine go large in the Mugello. The rolling, forested hills hereabouts ensure that boar and venison are a big part of the local offerings--accompanied by uber-hearty treats such as potato tortelli with ragu. It's exactly what you need on a cold winter's night after a long walk. And so, on a foggy evening... More

There's alot of seating in this place, but you'd never expect that looking in from the outside. This place changes it's menu every month...which makes sense because of the change of seasons. Their wine menu is vast and very interesting...There is art work everywhere and the service is on point! Simone is a great host! And Christian the Chef aims... More

Once you have admired the statue of Giotto, the famous artist of the 13th century, you have only a few steps to take to enjoy great Italian food for a decent price. You can sit on the terrace ,overlooking the distant hills or inside, where it is cool and calm.I enjoyed the advise of the owner,Simone, who knows the wine of the region and does... Starting from the smile that you get from Simone when you arrive, to the cold glass of white wine for aperitivo, the simple but researched menu of fresh local products, though to the amazing wine list and desserts. This place has been a favourite of mine for years and i make sure to take guest from all the world. The... More

We had a lovely dinner overhere in July. The food was excellent and the service impeccable. Really a great choice for having dinner. The bistecca fiorentina that we had was superb and the pasta starter was as well. Since we were with 2 and wanted to drink both white and red wine with the different meals we were hesitant to... Restaurant is very nice with a pretty outside terrace at the entrance surrounded by flowers, food is excellent (the only criticism would be that the desserts could have been tastier but providing each dessert with a very enjoyable dessert wine is a lovely touch), service very professional and the price is good. If one wanted to exagerate and take the... More
