We stumbled onto this trattoria, and what a find it proved to be. The pappardelle al cingulate were splendid, with a real thick meaty sauce; the tagliolini ai funghi porcini simply morish; and the deep fried vegetables and the BBQ lamb melted in the mouth. Great setting, friendly staff and at under €70 with a litre of house wine and... More

4TH Visit to this Rustic Trattoria and it's never failed to impress. Pasta with Porcini followed by Tiramisu washed down with lovely Chianti. Pasto molto bella. See you again soon.....

By far the best restaurant in the world in my opinion. A gem, a treasure, a dream come true. A forever memory to which I have sworn to return to.

It was Herculo, Chef from the excellent sea-food Ristorante San Martino, Impruneta, who gave me the adress of this excellent restaurant. Very good and various antipasti, we tasted the pappardelle piu Sui'capriolo. The Roas chicken is prepared with the use of a Volcanic rock, placed on the chicken while grilled. The rock keeps and spread the heat./ Marvelous dish, great... More

We were a group of 6 on a shore excursion and our tour guide took us to this restaurant for lunch. This place is fantastic!! We all ordered various pasta dishes and everyone agreed they were absolutely delicious!! We also left it up to the waiter to choose nice wines for us and these were also lovely. The decor and... Expensive for what it was but pleasant enough. Convenient if staying at the hotel. The staff were friendly. The setting was good (old fashioned). There were lots of italian locals eating there BUT the relationship between price and quality was slightly off.

On the recommendation of our host at I Parigi Corbinelli in Florence, we spent a warm summer evening at this wonderful restaurant. The ambiance was delightful and the owner very gracious and charming. The wine flowed and we enjoyed a variety of local culinary treats as apppetizers and the main course of Bistecchie all Fiorentina was mouth watering. Highly recommended!

So we were driving from Lucca to Strada in Chianti and came across this place on the way down. We arrived at around 1:30 p.m. and left sometime after 4 p.m. Stuffed and extremely happy. The owner comes out to help, great menu, local foods, and all of very high quality. The sausages were amazing, some of the best we... More

After taking many wrong turns we finally found this restaurant (on recommendation of someone) and it was worth the wait: the hospitality of the owner made us feel extremely welcome (even though we arrived 1,5h late). He 'freestyled' starters for us, which were all delicious (one unexpected hit was the deep-fried basil leaves). As a main we chose the Bistecca... More

A family run restaurant offering Tuscan delights, that has never ( and I mean never! ) failed me over the past 10 years. The ambiance, especially in the summer, is perfect. Good for a family Sunday lunch or a marriage proposal evening, you really can't go wrong here.
