We stopped at this place for lunch during our tour of the Chianti Classico wine region. The appetizers were superb. Many liked the eggplant, while my favorite was the liver pate. I ordered the wild boar pasta and it was better than I imagined. This place is definitely worth the 30 minute drive from Florence.

We ate here several times during our stay just outside the town. We sampled pretty much the entire menu over the course of our visits (there were also 8 - 12 people at each sitting)! The staff were extremely friendly and the food was simple and delicious. THe meat lovers devoured the lamb chops and I really enjoyed the pasta... More

This was a restaurant we had wanted to try, as it is along the main street (via Novembre) of our little town in San Casciano in Val de Pesa where we were staying a month. They seemed happy to see us initially, yet when we inquired about the open table in the front outside along the street, he offered the... More

We went to this restaurant after getting a very bad treat from another restaurant.Joseph met us with a very nice smile in his face and arranged a big table for 12 people even at their off time.He first brought their wine list and then gave a brief explanation about the local food and what they had on that day.Every dish... I went here with my family over the Christmas holiday as we were visiting San Casciano, which is nearby to our home. The location is warm and pleasantly decorated, which was fine. The menu was a bit limited in terms of variety. The quality of food was middle of the road for Tuscany in our opinion, and we live here.... More

If you want to taste real authentic Tuscany food served by local chefs then this is the place to be. Charming atmosphere, stunning food and friendly service. Be aware that the local cuisine here entails no fish dishes...

The restaurant is at the back of San Casciono's best butcher. We had small starters like goat cheese and artichoke in olive oil which was very good followed by the one and only bistecca fiorentina which was excellent. We sat in the back courtyard which is dog and smoking friendly. Excellent!
