Beautiful salumi!

We stopped in for a light lunch of cured meats, cheeses and bread. The selection of artisanal meats is impressive, and the portions are huge for the price. Wonderful wine list as well. Friendly service, and they make great suggestions if you are unsure of what to try.

A little disappointed.... place crowded wine and food nothing special for the cost. My steak was lacking flavour.

Seven of us on our Venice to Barcelona cruise hired a wonderful guide to drive us from the cruise ship port in Livorno to the Tuscan Hills. Our guide, Guido, lives in San Casciano, and it was there that he took us to his favorite restaurant, Cantinetta del Nonno, for lunch. antipasti, paste and dessert (and lots of good tuscan... More

When we asked our guide for real Tuscan cuisine she suggested this place in the small town of San Casciano. the food was original and delicious. The ravioli was just perfect with sweet tomatoes.

Home cooking makes this restaurant the place to eat. You feel like a friend of the family. The atmosphere and food is authentic Italian. Just what you need at the end of a busy day of sightseeing. We ate there more than once.

We went here twice while staying in the countryside near San Casciano, on the recommendation of locals. The food was amazing(steak florentine, bruschetta and a local mushroom pasta)and the owner and staff were beyond friendly and accommodating.I highly recommend going here if you are in the area!

Excellent home-cooked style food! Very rich in flavour, very friendly and great service! This is definitely one of the best Italian places we've ever been to! The fish fillet tasted great & we would definitely come back here again when we have chance.

We had tried to eat at La Cantinetta del Nonno upon recommendations but were misunderstood at the door I think. We persisted later in the week when we were hungrier and made it in to their back patio. It was a more relaxing meal out of the way of tourists, where locals went for their evening meal. We were attended... More

I dined there frequently while eating for my kitchen appliances to be delivered. I became very good friends with Giuseppe and house wife and eventually became their English teacher when their busy schedule allows. The food is exquisite as is the presentation.
