Fabulous food, relaxed atmosphere, perfect setting

Surrounded by fields and rolling hills, the restaurant is on the grounds of the former abbey of Saint Galgano. You can see the ruins of the abbey from the restaurant, about 100 meters away. The first meal our family had turned out to be one of the best in our recent 2 week tour of Italy. The setting is simple, décor warm and unfortunately on that day none of the staff could speak English and my Italian was pathetic. Many factors contribute to the greatness of this place. First, the food is excellent. Second, the location is perfect, since you can see the Abbazia di San Galgano and all the countryside around.
