Nice lunch

We had a wonderful seafood lunch with friends in this friendly restaurant. The owner brought out the fish before it was prepared to show us how fresh it was. Each and every course was very tasty. We would go back again.

We had dinner at this restaurant in 4 people after visiting the beautiful village. The staff wasn't very kind and they were not able to recommend a local wine, but only Sicilian wine ... in Tuscany! Anyway we ordered steak Florentine. It did not look bad but the taste was horrible! It was like eating meat cooked with fish! That... More

On our first visit, the welcome was very friendly, we were recognised from just making an enquiry about five days earlier. It has a nice atmosphere - very rustic. The menu had a reasonable choice. We had a mixed vegetable starter and a rigatoni with eggplant. Both were delicious. We were slightly disappointed with our main courses. My steak was... More

Dried bread . We asked for a green salad and got a few pieces of tomotoe and some pieces of cabbage. Very stingy and it cost 12 euro. Then we each ordered a pasta dish which was the smAllest portion i have ever seen. Do not even give it a try

Six of us gave carte blanche to the chef who produced a spectacular meal - a dozen platters of delicious foods including three different pasta dishes and a huge steak Florentine. He recommended appropriate wines. We spent a happy 3+ hours in the vaulted dining room that served in ancient times for wine storage. Truly a family affair: chef, his... More

San Gusme is a magical little hilltown with an authentic, local feel rather than a spot seemingly manufactured for tourists. And Augusto's restaurant is a centerpiece. We stayed in a nearby villa for a few months this fall and La Porta quickly became our special weekly treat. It is located in a grand and ancient building with vaulted ceilings and... More

I had an amazing lunch today at this excellent restaurant in San Gusme. The food was cooked perfectly, the service was excellent, and the ambiance was perfect. I had a pasta with seafood cooked in a Sicilian style but in a unique manner that I have never expeinced before. It was delicious!! The canoli desert was also delicious and unique.... More

After 3 weeks of Tuscany it was need to see some different dishes from sicily. the food was delicious and the little place san gusme was very nice. I had the cannoli dolci which was delicious. People who think the owner is not friendly do not understand his humor. We loved it and come back if we are in the... More
