Appreciable regional cuisine, very fair prices

The restaurant is located in a relatively modern part of Castelnuovo Berardenga village, opposite the library building (still close to the historical center: in a so small village the distances are minimal). It offers a typical regional cuisine, much appreciable. In a business dinner, we tried: "pici" (sort of thick spaghetti) with pecorino cheese, pepper and garlic, pappardelle (kind of... More

We were driving From Rada in Chianti to Sienna and arrived in Castel Nuovo Beradenga in the early afternoon. Quite by chance there was a parking area with a few spare spaces across the road from Quei 2. Weren't we lucky! I really enjoy good fennel sausage and Quei 2 cook them brilliantly. Really pleasant under cover out door area.... More

Great little find on the edge of the village. Simple, honest and traditional, friendly and casual, good value. Highly recommend for an affordable meal.

This restaurant is located near the main road not far from center. They have quite good sorted wine card and good lunch menu. The quality is good and price for 2 dishes with small bottle of wine was 41.70 eur Recommended

The food was very tasty as was the local Chianti Classico "Il Grigio". Unfortunately one of our party didn't receive their main course until after everyone else had finished, despite being chased a number of times. Perhaps we were just unlucky? I would still return for the quality of the meal.

We stepped into Quei 2 simply because it was the restaurant closest to our parking spot, for a quick lunch - but it turned out to be a great surprise! They easily accommodated our party of 8 in their patio next to the road; the other guests were mostly locals, from construction workers to wine growers. Food was very tasty;... More

This was a first. In the most congenial country in the world, where we have always been impressed by how warm and accomodating the people are, we found one where the staff feel that the diners are a nuisance to take care.of. We are seasoned visitors to Italy both having lived, worked, or traveled here frequently, and I am fluent... More

We stopped in for dinner after a day of wine tasting and didn't want a big fancy dinner. The clientele was a mix of locals and vacationers. We started with melon with prosciutto which was fabulous. The slices were thin and the melon was sweet. Then we had the crostini and did not know what to expect. We we're not... More

We stopped in for lunch and sat on the covered patio to the side. There seemed to be no one willing to speak much English, so we did the best we could with ordering our food. No one in our party of five had a fantastic meal, but it wasn't poor quality. The food service was quite slow, with the... More

We had dinner here as this restaurant had an agreement with our hotel, to accomodate guests in half board. Personnel and owners are really friendly; customers are both tourists and local people. Food is very good and tasty, we tried "ribollita", vegetable lasagne, "tagliata", mixed grill... In a word: recommended.
