Fantastic food and views

We ate here recently and the food was sublime, we have eaten at many good restaurants and this is up there with the best. The view of sienna in the distance were fantastic and the service very good.

Terrible for this restaurant, losing Massimo Di Fulvio is a catastrophe for the moment. The two "mamma's" cannot replace Massimo. How to find a replacement? Where we will find Massimo in the next months? What a pity , from top to poor, poor, poor.

I'm afraid I can no longer recommend this restaurant so highly. Massimo, the stellar chef who used to be in charge of the kitchen, has left, and whilst the atmosphere is still there, the food is not the exceptional 3* dining it was when he was there. I'll be looking to find Massimo elsewhere!

It was an amazing restaurant, with really friendly staff and cook. All vegetables were from the garden and everything was really good. I would recommend the dish with the different kind of meats cooked at different style.

As I understand it, in March the restaurant is closed. But as we were a group (for an offered business dinner), the kitchen has worked just for us. The menu was three courses. "Pici" (a kind of thin and long pasta typical of Tuscany) with white sauce of chicken, rabbit and pigeon; stewed "drunk" (ie with wine) wild boar, served... More

My wife and I stayed at their agroturissmo B&B and ate in the restaurant twice. The food was outstanding, both in presentation (not food as art, but food as food) and cuisine. Their wines are excellent and pair exceptionally well with the menuu. This was one of the best meals we've had in Europe. To add icing on the "cake",... More

Stayed at La Capanna in Castell'in Villa for four days....ate at the restaurant 3 times (we were the only ones there). Had dinner outside...wonderful. The dinners are set, so each night was a surprise. Even if you're not staying there, it's worth the trip to the restaurant.

We were at this restaurant on Oct. 24th, 2011. Massimo DeFulvio is the chef and trained under Gaetano at Arnolfo's in Colle val D'elsa. It was so delicious and very Italian. From the wild boar stuffed ravioli, pidgeon appetisers, wonderful white Chianti region beef steak and wonderful Chianti Classico wine from the winery at Castelnuovo Berardenga.

My husband, three year- old son and I dined at this restaurant on our last evening in Italy. From the very start, the service was great. Everyone was extremely friendly and we felt welcome (especially with our son). The atmosphere was nice - comfortable but not too formal. The menu was well planned and difficult to decide each course.
