Unassuming Very Good Food

Right on the main street as you enter this old historic cute little town. Ordered Ministrone Soup, and two salads, and two pizzas. All was terrific, and the bill was extremely reasonable. Large place, bar area, separate dinning area, if you don't want to be in a noisy bar section. We were there in... read more

We went there two nights while in Noto, the first inside and the second on the street. Both nights the food was very good -- the lasagna, raviolini, the orange salad and the fish dishes were all satisfying and reasonably priced. The first night on the menu we ordered the cassata, a sweet festive cake, only because I remembered having... More

Waiters quite lost. Forgot to bring hlasses or knives. Food pretty poor. Antipasti - dissapointing. Not a big choice and we had mich better in other places. Tuna steak very thin and overdone. Minnestrone looks more like vegetable cream and was pretty tasteless. If you wang to enjoy nice view of stairs and church - have a glass of wine... More

We can really recommend this restaurant. The food is very good but event better is the place itself. The restaurant is directly in front of a cathedral which is illuminated during the night. We came here twice to have dinner and really enjoyed it. The pasta was very good and it was lovely to sit outside during the warm September... More

Right in the main Street so nice views, but the food was so so. Sardine pasta a culinary mistake. Pasta Norma one of the best pastas we had in Italy. Ran out of highchairs, not impressed. Slow service.

We've enjoyed a lot our dinner at Al Buco. Some considerations to help the restaurant to be even more successful: - waiting: we were absolutely not in a rush, but the 2 courses took 2 hours to be served (starter after 40 mins, main dish after 1,15 hours, then we had to remind them about the salad) - the tagliatelle... Stopped here for lunch before an afternoon of sightseeing. Sat outside in an attractive setting. Good attentive service. Good choice of food and drink. The pasta con sarde was delicious and my partner loved his pasta Norma.

We spent a day in Noto in May 2015 and had dinner here. The food was extremely nice (we had the mussels starter and swordfish steak with tomatoes and capers, both excellent choices) and it was much less oily than other food we had in Sicily. The restaurant is located along the main pedestrian road of Noto, which makes for... More
