We stopped at Al Buco for lunch on a day trip to Noto. The food was excellent. We shared the antipasti to start which was amazing - the flavours were just gorgeous. We then had calamari and an onion and tomato salad for main and again it was so tasty. The way the salad was dressed made it taste absolutely... More

I ordered Sicilian salad which was an interesting mix of orange, tomato, lettuce, black olives and cheese. Decent salad but nothing to write home about. My wife had the prawn penne and had the same reaction. Looking around the fish and the ravioli that other people were having looked good. Decent service.

This is a very central situated restaurant in Noto. The food and service level is not memorable. I would recommend to choose a different restaurant. The meat should be avoided completed as is of low quality.

We dined here last Saturday night. Noto was a buzz of activity and the location could not have been better. The service from the start was efficient and courteous. The lovely young waiters spoke limited English but was very accommodating and had the a fantastic service attitude. Our meals were wonderful starting with the antipasti plates. We opted for both... This restaurant is placed in a beautiful spot of Noto. A true taste of sicilian barocco. The food is nice, the service efficient and the price ok. It definitely deserve a try.

Surprisingly well priced, given the lovely location in front of a beautiful church on Corso Umberto I. And also surprisingly good quality for what could very easily have been a tourist trap. A couple of homemade pastas (a meaty ragu and a ricotta ravioli, which looked slightly odd - clearly homemade! - but tasted great) to start and a mixed... More

I had to check the photos that we were in the same trattoria as other reviewers... this was genuinely my worst restaurant experience ever. We ordered and waited. Time passed. People who arrived later were served before us. After 40 minutes, they brought meals for me, my wife and one child. The other two children had to wait another 15... More

It's not a restaurant, it's a trattoria, and a very good example of one. We ate outside on the street, the centre of town, watching the evening promenade pass by like a moving picture. Good service, varied menu, tasty food, happy wine. Who wants a refined restaurant when you can have all of this at trattoria prices?

We have eaten here tonight. Had fish antipasti and fish mixed grill with mixed salad and potatoes. Potatoes were good! Everything else was rubbish. The fish was very over cooked. So disappointing. It tasted really horrid and was hard. Lettuce in the salad was all the bits you would throw away at home with a few bits of hard tomato.... More
