For a romantic meal for two or a family meal this is excellent. A short climb above main centre, this is a seriously good grastronomic experience. If you love your Italian food, you'll lover this place!

We ate outside here on a lovely warm evening in August. The service was excellent and so was the food. Good antipasti and the swordfish and albacore were juicy and delicious and melted in the mouth. We had to wait 10 minutes whilst the chocolate tortini (chocolate fondants) were cooked, hardly a hardship, but they were amazing when they arrived.... More

Dinner was reasonable, nothing really special. Good wines on the winelist, but all particularly expensive. The second day we had a reservation, but we were replaced by a larger company without so much as a sorry or a nice alternative seat. We just left, were not amused...

This restaurant doesn't sell food. It sells art-culinary art. For weeks I have been to many cities in Italy, like Milano, Como, Bellagio, Venezia, Bologna, Sorrento, Amalfi, Catania, and Siracusa. And I can say definitely this is the best restaurant in Italy. This restaurant makes you feel the need for new definitions of "freshness" and "flavor." Even the simple raw... More

We had a wonderful dinner at Meliora. It is tucked away in Noto Alta (be sure to get good directions) and is in a lovely old building. The owner was very friendly and was helpful with food and wine suggestions. It was by far our best meal in Noto and definitely was the best meal we had in Southern Sicily.... More

We were reccomended this restaurant and it was a pleasant surprise. A bit difficult to find, better to ask around, the restaurant has a few placed outside and elegant decoration inside. The food is excellent, from the local antipasti to the sublime tuna in pistacchio. To accompany all the owner will suggest you wines to complete the experience, follow his... More

This is a small restaurant hidden in the back streets of Noto in Sicily. A young crew, very serious about their fare: the fish was steamed to perfection. The cooking is serious, inventive, with a delicate touch, and the attention to the marriage of ingredients is thoughtful as well as successful. Their wine list is excellent.

Ignore the busy tourist traps by the cathedral and walk up the hill to the Via Principe Umberto. A sign points to the left to this family run restaurant. We have had many average meals during our stay in Sicily but this one is real step up - a brilliant introduction to real Sicilian food. And the walk up the... More

We arrived after a slowish yomp with our 2 children up the hill from Noto's main street. Reception was friendly if not quite the cooing "ciao bambino" we had got used to in Sicily. Unusually we felt a little embarrassed / apologetic to have small children with us. It seemed all the guests that night (Easter Saturday) were English speakers... More

We arrived late in Noto with our 3 children, hungry and looking for a nice restaurant to have lunch. All restaurants were closed or closing down, people unwilling to serve lunch anymore…until we discovered Meliora…The owner welcomed us friendly and offered us a table. If that wasn't enough, the food was just superb. We've been offered finger food, waiting for... More
