We had the arancino di melanzane and tagliata di manzo. Arancino was full of oil and meat very hard and tasteless. Service was professional but zero smiles.

I can't understand some reviews on here. The food was very good (I had the Ravioli and the Tuna). I will for sure come back :)

The restaurant was empty but the waiter and waitress seemed angry that we had asked to have our drinks at the tables outside, as if it was an enormous hassle for them. When we asked if we could eat outside they unpleasantly refused and then even refused to take our order until we had returned inside. The male waiter was... More

We did not have a good dining experience at Ristorante Crocifisso. We had heard good things and read positive reviews about this restaurant so we were excited to try it. The restaurant was busy and was turning people without reservations away at the door (somewhat rudely). The service was brusque and certainly not attentive. This would have been ok if... More

This restuarant is famous for rabbit and fish - as vegetarians we were anxious that they could accommodate us. There was no need to worry. Sauces were changed to enable us to have a good choice. The ravioli was home made and melted, it was so soft and tasty. The antipastas were very well cooked - an imaginative take on... More

Friendly chief and staff, lovely choice for vegetarian. Definitely the best restaurant in Sicily so far.

We ate at this restaurant for a Saturday lunch because the restaurant we were looking for (Ristorante Meliora) was closed for lunch. It was disappointing to find our first choice closed after the long walk uphill, but we were glad to find Ristorante Crocifisso open just a block away. We enjoyed the slightly updated version of classic Sicilian dishes on... More

We took a day trip from Siracusa to Noto and had lunch at this amazing restaurant. The staff was very friendly and gladly helped us figure out the menu which is only in Italian. We started with the mixed appetizers which were lovely market driven bites that were well thought out and brilliantly executed. My pasta with sea urchin, artichoke... More

We visited the Trattoria del Crocifisso because of recommendations in our travel books. It turned out that these recommendations are outdated and from a better time of the restaurant. The food was not good and caused also health problem to one of us. The starter “polpo grigliato” was the worst on our 3 weeks trip in Sicilia – big chewy... More

Having eaten at Il Dammuso the other family restaurant in Noto the day before (see review under restaurant Baglieri) we had high expectations for Crocifisso. Ultimately this left us feeling disappointed and wishing we had made a second visit to Il Dammuso. We booked and were greeted in a rather non-committal and unfriendly manner by a young waiter. The food... More
