Overrated, disappointing experience

I may have chosen badly but my arrancia melanzone although lovely inside was burnt on the outside. My pork had little meat and was mainly fat. The bread served on arrival was good. Service was efficient but impersonal and not particularly friendly.

Great place in Noto alto, a short walk from the centre. A most interesting menu, excellent wine list, attentive service. Went twice for lunch during a short visit to Noto, highly recommended.

We had dinner and the experience was overall pleasant. Special mention for the macco di fave and for the pork. The service is very friendly and helpful. Recommended.

We visited the restaurant last october. We had the full program: Antipasto, Primo, Secondo and Dolce. For Antipasto the arancine were wonderful. I don't expect it different from a good sicilian restaurant. For Primo the Spaghetti palermitana, another sicilian speciality, was a nice experience i never had befor. Very good! For Secondo the maialino nero - spicy and very tender.... More

We had an exceptional dinner at Ristorante Crocifisso, one of the best meals we had in all of Italy. The staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel at home. The food was phenomenal, with fresh ingredients and fantastic presentation. We had lasagna with sausage and broccoli, an amazing pork roulette, tuna steak encrusted with pistachios, and the best pasta... More

We have eaten here twice in the past week and were highly impressed by the fine quality of the modern italian cuisine matched by first-class ingredients, efficient service, keen prices and a good sicilian dominated wine list. The restaurant was deservedly full and buzzing on both evenings; it would hold its own in any major city. Booking advisable.

We spent a really lovely evening here. The food was well thought and presented, and quite delicious - our waiter was nice to split an appetizer for us, and recommended a wonderful, local, natural wine that was right in line with what we were looking for - which isn't always easy to find. The service was a little frantic at... More

We are here our first night and arrived late so we didn't explore the menu as much as we would have liked. Everything we ate was very good. The interior is clean and modern. It seemed like the night we were there it was filled with locals. When we got our rental car in Catona even the guy at the... More

This restaurant is found at the top of the old town above the Duomo but well worth the walk. Set in a quiet street amongst more lowly establishments; it could easily be missed. Do not make that mistake. We arrived early on a hot October day and were allowed in early to relax, cool off and study the menu. Whilst... More
