Nice variations on traditional cuisine

After 2 weeks on Sardinia, we fancied something different than the usual offerings and were happy to stumble upon Lu Brutoni who had some interesting things on the menu that you would not necessarily find elsewhere. I agree with a previous TA review , this restaurant should be rated a lot higher. Firstly if you desire 14 different types of pasta and pizza and are looking to feed children - this restaurant is not for you. It's a small menu with some really interesting options. We started with warm octopus with fennel and orange + seared... More

This restaurant should be higher ranking (currently 11th in San teodoro). It was a fantastic experience serving up tasty food and wine. It's tucked away on a side street with outside seating. The food was amazing. My husband had a selection of cheese (I was proved wrong that all Italian cheeses are the same) and I had the mussels alla... More

All the waiters are so stressed at this busy restaurant and service is therefore terrible. There is no one to welcome you and show you to your table, even if you've reserved in advance, but instead all waiters run around so stressed sweat are dripping from their forehead. Instead of feeling welcomed to the restaurant we felt we were in... More

The food was great, but not any dishes suitable for children. I would have given them a full score if they had this. We ordrered pork medallion, which was nicely presented.

The perfect dinner for two: we started tasting local wines at the bar while waiting for our table, had local main dishes ( I went for Fregula - like a Sardinian cogs cous - with squid ink and pecorino cheese which was beyond my expectations! ) and finished with an off-the-menu dessert called Seadas, cheese fritters with lemon peel and... After long and hot day we left our teenage kid at htl and headed up to San Teodoro downtown for a perfect dinner for two. A little apart from loud places, Lu Brutoni with soft jazzy/ lounge music at the background seemed to be the right place. And, it was! Compact yet any choice satisfying menu. Fish of the day-... We had a great time here. The choice of food was limited compared to other restaurants, but that's usually a good sign. The waiter was also helpful in pointing out that my combination of courses was not so good. I still don't know if I agree, but it's a good thing that somebody is willing to do more than take... We had a family diner at Lu Brutoni and were received amiably by the staff. Always courteous and trying to help. The food was good (not exceptional but good) and the price was excessive in our view for what we had. Nice location, close to the center, and friendly staff.

..but - the food was good (everything from km 0) but nothing so special to come back there again. It was also a little bit too expensive comparing to what we took. Good wines and friendly staff.
