Stunning Food and Stunning Value

I could not rate this restaurant highly enough. The owner is a great guy who speaks excellent English which can be helpful when discussing the menu as my Italian is quite poor at best, whilst the chef is his wife. The menu has an array of puglian fayre and the owner suggested the we must have the... read more

Definitely the best meal we've had on our tour of Puglia. This restaurant really prides itself on local food and wine and the result is fantastic. The prices are a little higher than average but it's worth every penny. The antipasti selection was outstanding. The owner is very attentive and speaks good English, taking time to talk you through the... More

We went here and having read the reviews we trusted the owners recommendations. We were given a welcome drink which left a strong aftertaste. He advised against our wine choice and we got a very poor to average wine as a result. A little nervous of eating fish I got monkfish, which was chewy to the point of being spongy/grisly.... More

I came here with my mom for a beautiful lazy lunch. We ate well and the wine recommendations were out of this world. The price was a little high for the rest of Puglia but not for the rest of Italy. I would come back.

We were greeted with some lovely antipasti's and some wine after much trekking around Otranto to find a decent restaurant. The food is quite good and the lady and gentleman who served us were very pleasant.

A lovely little restaurant in the old town (castle walls) serving honest food in a romantic setting. Wine was great and food perfect, we the black risotto and tuna for mains - highly recommend! slightly pricey but worth it for a special treat.

Looking at all the reviews i think we got unlucky... Service was bad, very very slow, we waited 1 hr for the appetizers, nothing special. Another 30 min later we got our pasta dishes, tasty but not as special to deserve another visit. The owner recommended us a great wine and probably thatwas the highlight of the experience. Special mention... More

So here's the thing: there are two truly great restaurants right in Otranto for dinner. After six summers there, I can tell you that much. Peccato di Vino is one of them, with probably the best wine list in town. (The other is L'Altro Baffo, the fish place up by the Castello Aragonese.) At Peccato di Vino they will accommodate... More

Very nice main course and dessert. Skip the antipasto; they are a rip off. The environment is very nice and the chefs man / waiter is very helpful. /Lasse
